From the FAQ:
"Why is there a limit to the number of gifts I'm able to give away?
We limit the number of gifts a user can create for security purposes, and to prevent a new user from potentially posting a large number of invalid gifts to the site. When you create giveaways and your gifts are received, this number will increase. At that time you'll be able to create giveaways with a greater number of copies, and more simultaneous giveaways."

The 5 entries requirement was designed to avoid people making a tiny group to just trade games back and forth and increase their level that way.
If it's a private / group / whitelist giveaway, it needs to get 5+ entries for it to count towards increasing your level (and giveaway slot count). If it's a public giveaway, it doesn't matter how many entries it gets, and you can set higher level requirements on it if you want to limit it.
But as others said, in the interim you can create a Support ticket to ask for more slots, and they'll give them to you. That's what I did when I was starting out.

I think you need at least 5 entries for them to count. Also I believe you start with 3 slots not 5, and you get an additional slot for every 3 GA's marked as received (with at least 5 entries). Since you have 6 of those GA's your count is now 5 slots. Also deleting GA's removes slots as well.

That's fair. For what it's worth, I think that people exaggerate how many bots enter public giveaways (more likely just leeching humans or thankless takers), and I haven't had any problems with publics yet.
Still, they are your giveaways. Giving games to someone who'll appreciate them is more important than CV anyway, so it's up to you :)

As long as all your giveaways are valiad and accepted, every 3 successful ones will give you one more giveaway slot. Slots are only lost if the giveaway is deleted, or they mark it as not received, or end up without entries (shouldn't really happen with public ones)

Same as what others have said.
I think that you can send in a ticket to support if you wish to request for more giveaway slots though? Just explain your situation to them.

As said above you can always ask the support for more slots - I did that for example as well, asked them If I can have 35 and now I have ~40.
It's mainly a mechanism to prevent multiple fake giveaways from new users - which happened in the past - so you know where it came from ;)
And as you seam to be in very good standing there won't be a problem.

You start with 3 giveaway slots.
For every 3 positive giveaways feedback you got 1 extra slot.
When you are deleting giveaway it takes you as many slots as you gave away a copy of the game.
And giveaway's with less then 5 entries doesn't count. (you only have 7 giveaways that count)
You can ask support for slots.

I've seen people post several hundred giveaways at the same time. But I am only limited to 5 giveaways and have to wait until they have ended before I can make more. How come?
