Borderlands 2 question, please help

It's not available in my country, just like Borderlands 1.
The thing is, it's not available trough steam, right?, but i can buy the PC Digital download version on the official page, the thing is: Will i be able to activate the key trough steam if the game is not available in my country for purchase?.

Related note: When BL2 was announced and BL1 was on discount, they gave BL1 for free for the weekend, and i got it, it was on my library available for download.

BL2 is steamworks afaik, so all copies of it are activated on steam (even CD/retail ones).

well you may use the trick that some of the "russian key buyers" are using, you can buy it from retail/official and then use a vpn to activate the key. (and tbh if i were you, and i was going to do it, i would buy the russian version too but it has some restrictions if i am not wrong, like russian version will be playable with other russian versions only on multiplayer and the season pass will not be working for russian versions) or you can try to buy eu/us version and use an eu/us vpn...

The Russian version is also ONLY in Russian with no option for other languages, I believe. Maybe they fixed that?

This seems like a question better suited to the submit a request page on the official website. But I would imagine if they let you buy it and it doesn't work, they would figure something out - if even only a refund. BUT! Waiting for refunds can take a while sometimes. Anyway, I wish you luck. The game is amazing.
