When you create a giveaway, you can restrict entry to one (or more) group on Steam. Only members of those group(s) can enter your giveaway.

Edit: Most dedicated Steamgifts group have more or less strict entry requirements (e.g. Steamgifts level, 1 giveaway each month, ...). Take a look at group recruitment to get an idea.

Edit 2: Welcome to Steamgifts! Join forum invite only giveaways to have a better chance to win, e.g. this one.

There is a group caled S.Gifts which is related to this site, but it's not necessary to join it to participate in the giveaways here. Otherwise I might be understanding your question wrong, since it's not very clear.

Thanks i join to the group :)

I just wanted to know how they work and if the groups are connected to steam

In the sense, if a steam group makes a giveaway I have to be part of it to participate?

Yes, you have to be a member of a particular Steam group to be eligible to enter or create a giveaway specially created for this group. But, as you can probably see, the majority of giveaways on SteamGifts has no group affiliation at all, so there's no necessity to join any Steam group whatsoever. :)

EDIT: You might also wanna take a look at the FAQ or Guidelines, if you're new to SteamGifts :).

Yeah, but if I may give you a little advice - you should be aware that many of these "low entries"-groups have certain requirements, e.g. you creating giveaways to a certain ratio/on a regular base within this group, your SG account having reached a specific level etc. And try to be cautious which groups (mostly public ones) on Steam you enter, some are just spambot gatherings, involved in dubious other websites or pure toxic ;).

Anyway, I wish you good luck :).

Yes, the groups are connected to Steam and yes, you have to be part of a group to participate in their giveaways. There are many many groups though, and it's impossible to join all groups that make giveaways (and not really necessary, since there are a lot of non-group giveaways going on here) - of course, winning chances are better in most groups, because there are less people participating in the raffles.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask :).

The one found on Wishlist/Steam Groups? The groups here mean Steam groups that you've already joined. Only the selected WL/group members will be eligible to enter that group giveaway.
