Honestly if you like other valve games you would like the complete collection. If you played through the half life series you would know why everyone wants a half life 3, and 75% off is a huge deal, halflife 2 by itself is normally 10. But it is your money so do what you want. :D

Well HL2 is quite outdated by today game standards so some new players can find it boring. But I still would recommend it tho if you like FPS in general.

Go to a russian trader. It's about $5 in rubles but they'll want to make profit so it might be around $6 for the complete pack. :D

and also, i'm not a big fan of 'scary' games, the only thing thats holding me back from getting it is the Ravenholm mission

Im not sure if i want the whole pack either i havent played any of them? And i only have 20$ for the entire summer sale

Get the complete pack, you don't want to start reading the 4th book if you haven't read the first three right? You want to get the whole story... I don't know much about the story, but I just bought the whole collection and I plan on finishing all of them some time (I pray these won't go on my backlog)...

Valve games never go under 75% off, so it's your chance to get them all for a great price. Go for them all and play them in order, you won't regret it!

Complete, it's bettet then simple HL2.

get at least HL2 and episodes 1 and 2. You can play HL1 by installing the Black Mesa mod anyway

I only bought HL2.
I only bought it because it has trading cards.
I only bought it because selling the trading cards makes the game cost 1,00~1,50€

HL2 will suffice. You can buy the other games later when you're still interested. There are often HL sales

buy 3 tf2 keys, you can get it that way for 5-6 dollars. (maybe 6-7). And trade for it

I would say HL2 only, since there's a mod called Black Mesa which is a remake of HL1 (with better GWAPHIX)

Just buy complete. Its so cheap...

The complete edition is the best choice if you don't have any.
