They: entering public gibs with about 1000 entries
You: entering private gibs (probably puzzles) with 5-50 entries.

You're not lucky. You're smart.

Most of my wins are from games that hardly have any entries so it all depends. I'm going on a month with no wins but I still hope for the best with every giveaway I enter.

Not really - look at the games you've won - all private and WL GAs, all with really high chance to win. People complaining are usually level 0/1 who only ever entered public no-lvl GAs, GAs they enter usually have much more than 1000 Entrants, so it's not unusual for them to win only once in 1000+ GAs, GAs you enter have much less entrants, like 10, 20, 50, 100 etc, so you are much more likely to win a lot more than people entering just public GAs ;)
