Hi everyone.
So, it's my 8 time downloading the game and i happen to have the same problem everytime. Around the last 700mb, the download would stop telling me the download is corrupt. I keep trying to download and i get to download 500mb more, having just 200 left. Then i got to download 15.3 out of 15.3 gb, but it seems i'm stucked at the 99.8% of the download, as it marls from 5 to 1 sec left. But here is where it just won't downlad anymore. i try turning off the updates , changing the download region, lenguage, i even changed to steam beta and disabled the dlc content (just the bench as i didnt buy the dlc's) and nothing happend. I deleted the dowlading folder, the common folder, the capcom folder and restart the download and yet, it's the same. I have no connection problems as i can download other games, god's sakes, i even cheked the cache's integrity and yet, nothing happend. I mean, the game is even listed in my nvidia GeForce Experience (tho i can't get to see the config of it).
What should i do then?, Any ideas?
Thanks.

Steam is protecting you from that game.

Change your download location.
Some locations seem to have corrupt files.
steam "menu -> Parameters -> Download". Mexico seems to be working fine
(Many regions have faulty files. Which did u try?)

No. I'm out of ideas then....
EDIT: Did you remove everything and then start over from Mexico?

So not whats "left". Start a new download.

I had the same problem installing Team Fortress 2 (I use Windows 7 by the way).
What it worked for me was:

  • Go to C:/Program Files/Steam or wherever you have your Steam folder
  • Right click -> properties
  • Uncheck "read only" at the bottom
  • Restart Steam and resume download

Is your HDD or SSD nearly full? Could be your drive is defect and you're getting read/write errors. I had a similar error using steam and my ssd was producing errors in the last 10GBs of it's capacity.

It's not about downloading from Steam server, it's about your computer.Steam might got corrupted, re-install it to refresh it's files.

Check your firewalls, close antivirus, change your computer's region to USA.

What is the type of your HDD, FAT32 or NTFS ? Even if you have enough space you might not be able to install it on a FAT32 disk.

When that happened to me support said:

-Completely exit the Steam client.
-Open the run dialogue by pressing windows key + r (you can also navigate here from the start menu by typing run).
-Type steam://flushconfig then press enter. (If asked to allow this website to open a program, please click Allow or OK).
-Restart your computer.
-Now, launch Steam directly from the installation folder, not from a pre-existing shortcut (~C:program files (x86)Steam).
The Steam application will either appear as Steam or Steam.exe depending on whether your settings show file extensions.

It won't affect your installed games, just re-download RE6 after doing this.
If you have games on steam installed on other drives, i think you can link it back so it shows that its installed if it gets greyed out.

Also, if it's stuck at 99%, check if it says "busy writing". If it says so, give it a while and it'll finish.
If not, well. yeah. Guess it ain't that.

should i re-download the whole archive or just re-queue it?

if you mean whole archive as in your whole library, no. Doesn't and shouldn't affect installed games.
It should fix the whole RE6 not downloading though. when you re-download RE6 assuming you uninstalled it earlier

Well, i did what you said and unfortunately it's the same u.u It still sends the download to the not queued and still shows the "Update required" thing.

I'm assuming you have enough space for the game + a few more gigs or so for updates.
Well, i'm stumped on this one. Possibly contact steam support i guess.

"Spoiler Alert" will not download either, however Cargo Commander and Another Perspective did.
