That should work as long as it is a pre-order purcchase. I think. TL1 was a pre-order bonus, if one purchased TL2. Don't know whether that is the case still, though.

4 of us bought the 4 pack and the person who actually paid for it then gifted out the copies of Torchlight 2, however they had to separately give us the copies of Torchlight 1. This was when it first came out so it may have changed, no idea.
But if i have misunderstood and you are just asking if you can get the first one as a pre-order bonus then yes the other two comments are correct.
