My friend is a macro freak, i don't use any as i find manually inserting key combinations to be more enjoyable.

My mouse can do macros, and I use all the time. But my macros are just for application shortcuts, like Ctrl+W to close a tab on a browser, etc.
I also assign one keyboard button to a mouse button, since it is easier to reach buttons on the mouse.
They can be useful in games, since you won't need to remember which letter does an action, or which shortcut does another action; you just have to remember the mouse button.

I heard (and still hearing) about how great are keyboards and mouses with macros, how useful macros can be, etc.
So i bought also keyboard with macros, and atm the only macro im using is auto-writing my email, because i'm too lazy to write it everytime when i want to sign in/up.
But everytime when i ask someone - so what macros are you using? The answer is that he/she don't use it, or use for ctrl+c/v (lol, it's already a shortcut).
So are you using macros? If yes - so for what? Are they really useful for games?
