I had to press "play now" on the store pages then cancel install before they showed up in my library.

Yes! I just dig up an old Indie Gala key for Bloodrayne 2, and when you activate, you get the option to install either Bloodrayne 2 and / or Bloodrayne 2: Terminal Cut.

latest 90% discount for those was in 2017 if something XD

Probably just Steam where it's region locked. Other stores should work.

I couldn't buy them on Steam as well in Brazil, so I grabbed a bundle that had them long ago and managed to activate both on Steam just fine!

"If you own original games"
Well, don't be so sure of that. I have both games in my Steam library (bought them on a 3rd party site), but since I live in Germany, where the uncut games are banned, I can't even see the store pages, so I can't add the remasters to my library -.-
EDIT: OK, had to restart Steam, and the remasters were added to my library.

oh nice, I bought the originals years ago but they didnt work very well, now lets pray for some legacy of kain remasters because the steam versions suck

Hmm. I was quite sure that I had the original games in my Steam account (as well in GOG), but now I didn't find them there and I didn't get the Terminal Cuts... (only on GOG)

Looks like I've had the terminal cut versions since 2015. I had totally forgotten about this. :D
Thanks for the thread, though...these were cool games, and I may have to revisit them via the terminal cut versions soon.

The Terminal Cut is in the same package as the original game, so it takes the date from when you activated the game originally.

But what's interesting is my active dates for the Terminal Cut (2015) are a full year ahead of my activated dates for the original game (2016). 🤓
Maybe that's just because I bought the games in 2015, but the last time I played the originals is 2016? Either way, glad to see that I have both in the library. :)

For those that own the original games, look for terminal cut in your library.
