What if... instead of making a puzzle for a giveaway... the guys who win against me on a 1v1 match on a F2P game get the giveaway link?

That way, only the people who are great players get the chance to enter the giveaway.

Thoughts?

I was thinking about AVA. But TF2 works too, I just need to install it.

Just for the record, AVA is region locked, so I don't think that's a very good idea. By the way, even if you manage to install it where it's locked, you can't see it in your library nor execute it. u.u

It's a F2P game, but I don't really like it.

Counter strike 1.6, is that ok?

That's not a F2P game. There is a CS:Online, but it's not nearly as good as 1.6, it's kind of a waste of time to play it.

TF2 1on1, 9 rounds, 10 kills for round win, one point for round, first to 5 points wins, each round is played with a random selection of a class, e.g. Spy vs Spy, Demo vs Demo, etc. until all classes are played or one player reaches 5 points.

Default weapons.

I think we can assume that TF2 would be the main F2P game of choice, right? I'd rather play on AVA, since I'm much more confident on my skills in that game, but I'll make sure to install and train a bit on TF2 before making my first "puzzle" giveaway on the forum. Thanks everyone for sharing their thoughts!

PS: just wondering, would anyone like to play this "puzzle" on Alliance of Valiant Arms, or is everyone in here a TF2 fan?

If you do this, you should record the matches and put them on YouTube. I'd love to watch.

I just remembered... wouldn't I need a dedicated server in order to play a 1v1 on TF2?

pretty cool idea - I can see it used in other ways as well, like for those into racing games have an online race and the top X finishers get the link...

I like it
