TIL jigsaw puzzles are Jiggidis. BTW OP's thread is the #2 result for "Jiggidis" on Google, and other than that pulls up a bunch of foreign sites. So nobody new to SG is going to know what those are.

Maybe OP isn't exactly a noob with respect to register date (I'm a few months newer than them), but they made a noob-like question/complaint.
The point I was trying to make is that if someone has concerns with utilizing the site or engaging the community, it doesn't help to use very community-specific lingo (in this case, limited to a single sub-forum) when describing a possible solution. That can just leave them more confused and annoyed with the site or our community.

However it would be fun to see you replying by saying those thousands of results and websites with the "jigidi" term refering to jigsaw puzzles were all very "community-specific lingo" of steamgifts
Given that it was initially a mis-spelling I won't make that claim, but I don't think the opposite claim to mine can be made either: That almost all new SG users already know what "jigidi" is

Myself, I never have much luck when it comes to RNG. I've been here for some 5 years with almost 40K giveaways entered and only 95 games won. My last win was about 5 months ago. I think that's pretty unlucky.
I'm not sure how many giveaways I entered before I won my first game, but I think it was about 2K.

i just compared you to myself... and i guess you dont participate enough.
Youre here since 8 months and have only ca. 2900 entries. im here for 5 month and have ca. 9600 entries and i won 31 times.
admitting... a lot of them were trash games or from mass-giveaways. and just like others pointed out... at some point i became level 1, joined groups and participate in Forum giveaways (jigidi, invite only, etc...)
generally the higher the level, the less ppl are joining. the more time a GA is active, the more ppl are going to see it and join.
and less ppl joining means higher chance for you. so check SG more often.

true. bigger games cost more and thus you cant enter as many games.
the rest still applies though.
if you enter a AAA game that has been open for 1 week, you'll be one of 3000+ ppl entering. so chances are dim.
but sometimes even great games are only open for a only few hours, so less ppl will enter.
so checking more often is good.

Dont worry i won 26 games in 6.5 years while here are users who won in same time XYX games... so ignore it and keep entering if u still have mood.

It really come down to luck and what kind of giveaway you enter, like other have said before leveling up would really help cause level 0 GA often have thousand of entrant so the chance to win are really low, but it is possible I've seen user who are level 0 and have won lots of games.
If you participate there often some awesome giveaway if you look through the discussion and of course joining groups is the way to go if you want higher chances. Others have already mention it but Unlucky 7 is a great place to start.

2 tips:
First of all: user level 0 has the worst chance to win anything.Your chances to win are higher at a higher level. Also there are more giveaways for you there.

Try to get at least to level 4.
Second tip. Join a giveaway group (see group recruitment forum).
There you got like 25% of chance to win on a giveaway, instead of 0.00001% chance.

Haha same here, In the beginning I just wanted whatever I could get but as you use SG more and your library just grows a person gets to the point where you JUST enter giveaways for games you really want or definitely will play.

I've won 110 giveaways and entered 49,290 giveaways (some of which have multiple winners, one that has 10,000 winners if I'm not wrong)
So my win rate is 0.22%, so 0.22% of the giveaways I enter I win something XD

I've seen a profile that was winning like 2-3 games everyday, some of those games were AAA, no white list/groups giveaway with 12k entries. I also checked his steam he plays all games for an hour and half.
The only 2 games that I won, was whitelisted and region locked, so I had higher chance to win.

Here is my New Update with my Entered Giveaways: 6,869 so far now, but still no Luck. And i am Registered since 5 Years. :O
Ive Won 3 Games so far, 2 Games are from 4 Years ago and 1 Game is from 2 Years ago. :D
Maybe someday there will be few More Games, i wish everyone the Best and Good Luck and have much Fun. ^^
