Anyone cares to comment on Early Access and the surge of zombie survival games?

There are not enough players for every multiplayer game out there.Especially bad/unoriginal/repetitive/and so on games.Even Titanfall who is published by EA and has triple A quality..is kinda dead/dying now.With the massive popularity of MOBAs (LoL,Dota 2,Smite,Hots),FPS games(CSGO,Battlefield,Overwatch,TF2,Crossifre in Asia,Call Of Duty),Hearthstone,Starcraft 2,WoW and tons of more MMORPG's + the dozens of singleplayer games released every few months + the hundreds/thousands great quality single player games that are already there...why should someone waste time with games like The Dead Linger and many more games that are released more like a gamble...because why not?Maybe it sticks...just like LoL or Dota or Hearthstone.

I have mixed feelings on Early Access games. Bought a few: Adventure Manager, The Forest and Victory: The Age of Racing (probablya few more, but those are the relevant ones I can remember)

Had lots of fun with Adventure Manager before if got fully released, same with Victory: AoR (I have no idea if it got proper released by now), but there was not that many ppl playing it.

But the point here is The Forest. It is still in alpha, not even beta, and I've been playing more than any other game I own in the last month. The devs releases a new update every 14 days or so and even if there's no storyline so far, it's an awesome game.

Early Acces games that focus primarily on multiplayer are the ones that annoy me the most.Just like Dead Linger.And it's even worse when that particular game is unoriginal,already has competiton (like DayZ and countless other zombie surivival games).

Early Access seems like a great tool for Devs to roll the dice,get some money from crowdfunding or promising something that the player won't get.And when a dev does that with a game that can only function as a multiplayer game,it's pretty much over before it starts unless he gets super lucky.

There are examples of great multiplayer games that come out of Early Acces..but those are the very small minority.
