Should I?
Well, Borderlands is quite boring alone, but with DLC's hell yeah :) I love that game but sadly it's a totally different game with and without DLC's. I know what I say, I finished Border 1, 2, and Pre-Sequel with friend on Xbox without them and it was too short. I played Borderlands GOTY and it is way better.

I quite enjoyed the original BL game, myself. P
Both games are much better with friends, of course.

great game, great story. and the graphics are beautiful for its age, like playing a fresh waxy glossy wet comic book.

an OT question , if I would buy and give away the first borderlands it would be borderlands GOTY or just the "raw" borderlands? I know with the DLCs from hb it is not the GOTY one but it has a lot of DLC anyway

If it doesn't have ALL the DLCs then it would just be regular Borderlands. You need to giveaway all the DLC for it to be considered GOTY.

There were in total 4 DLC's for first Borderlands. GOTY is just all four of them in one package. The 1$ code from HB is Borderlands with 3 DLC's (and the 4-th one is the best in my opinion) you'll get only one code with game and DLC's. You can't activate DLC on one account and game on other. You can just buy 1$ tier and get last one DLC for 10 Euros on Steam - it will have entire content of the GOTY edition.

Or you could buy tier 2 for less than $8 and that code will give you the 4th DLC, no need to spend 10 euros and you get Borderlands 2 as well with some DLC.

I thought that this thing is too obvious to mention.

If you are interested in playing the extra campaigns (Tina, Hammerlock, Torgue, Scarlett) then buy the Top Tier since it's cheaper than buying the season pass and the second level cap increase later on, if not then buy the $1 to have some solo fun or play with strangers or the BTA to have some variety playing with the Mechromancer and the Psycho (they are quite fun to play as).

I owned BL2 GOTY and still bought the second tier.
Got it for 4,41$ though.

I own all of the BL games. Feel free to add me. I may even have some time to play with you, someday. P

I already got Borderlands 1 GOTY and 2 GOTY from Steam sales. Just needed the Headhunter DLCs but they put 4 in the BTA and one in the last tier and that is just too expensive for me. Why call it GOTY when it doesn't contain all the DLCs? sigh

If I've bought tier 2 can I upgrade to tier 3 just paying the difference? Or Would I have to pay the $15? Also I already own Borderlands 2 Season Pass would tier 3 be worth it for the last 2 DLCs?

Definitely, but I think you should buy the full bundle in order to enjoy it to its maximum potential. And by that I mean the 15 dollar tier, because, as some people have already stated, without the 4 playable DLCs from the Season Pass (well... 3, cause one of them sucks donkey balls), Borderlands 2 is just missing salt and pepper.

I only have the Borderlands 2 base game and I was wondering, if I should get the bundle for the DLCs and Borderlands 1. I will probably be playing alone since my friends aren't that interested in the DLCs for BL2. This seems like a rather good bundle but I'm not so sure. Any advice?
