He's profile looks bad also. He created one game and deleted it.

Is there anyway that I can deal with this? I already checked that the key is valid from entering it in steam(I already have the game).

Now I'm not sure if he used that key yet so I can't reroll it.

Edit: Maybe next time I should put a high value to prevent these kind of people.

Maybe he's steam blocked?

I don't think the game I'm giving is region blocked. The game in question is Kung Fu Strike - The Warrior's Rise

Kung Fu Strike is not region locked, just checked the CDR.

Maybe next time I should put a high value to prevent these kind of people.

he says steam blocked - that means that he maybee tried today several steam codes that was already redeemed. after 5 failed activations the account get blocked for 1 hour, so he should try it later

How do I ask for a reroll if i'm not even sure he used that key or not.

Edit: I checked that the game is not in his profile, but he might gave it to other people.

Key's giveaways can't be rerolled.

Report him to support stating your case and with enough proof. (Printed screens and so on)

I did just that. Thanks. I hope the mod will deal with this soon.

Actually they can be rerolled. I asked for a reroll 3 weeks ago and clearly stated in the ticket that it was a key giveaway & they still did it.

This happened with like 6 keys I was activating last night, I waited until off-peak hours to activate them and they went through. This was info given too me by HumbleBundle themselves. You could always redeem the key yourself and then gift it too him through Steam since you already have the game in your account.

You can't redeem a key to get a gift able copy of the game even if you already have the game.

That's not possible. If you already have the game in your library, you can't activate a key at all. You can't convert keys into gifts.

Well, actually, you can. In very very very specific conditions. Like games from the Potato sack. If you activate a humble bundle key that includes any games of the potato sack(if you own potato sack bundle), you will get one extra as a steam gift.

Won't work with individual keys. Steam won't accept the new key. Previsou HIB used a key that gave you mutiple games so as long as at least one of the game wan't on your account you could use the key. (Same will happen if you use a giftable pack with multiple games) Even if one of the game you were adding was already in the library it still triggered the potato sack (or other bundle) script and gave you the extra copy.

Strange, I have had things redeem into my inventory, sorry for the misinformation.

The only real way to know if the key has been redeemed and who redeemed it is to contact Steam Support. They even have an entry setup just for this situation (I had a lot of old keys lying around that I didn't think I had used, but I didn't want to end up having to buy the game for someone if the key was in-use - lol that happened to me on my first giveaway which was HL1 - anyway they were able to verify that the 8 or so keys I gave them were not in use). Also even if you own the game, if you enter in a key you can sometimes attach the key to your account (this is normally only an issue with bundles and stuff like that).

best suggestion right there - verify the key before putting up the giveaway and save proof of it - if the winner says it was no good verify it again if support discloses who activated it problem solved

I know it would be a pain in the ass but I would like to see an official SteamGifts policy that key giveaways are at your own risk and if the key has already been used then the giveaway is a wash - creator gets no credit for it and also does not get a "did not receive" and it doesn't count as a win for the winner. There would be a lot of window lickers putting up fake giveaways but nothing keeping them from doing that now and with no contributor credit there wouldn't be much point in doing that, other than just to be a prick in general. The legit giveaways would work perfectly fine and there isn't really any point in claiming the key didn't work for you...

Make him get HyperCam and record how he redeems the code. Check EACH letter!
Your welcome!

He could easily be scamming you which is the risk with giveaways, though the game I won said duplicate key when I tried using it so that could seem like I tried scamming the person when I really didn't.

Just check his Steam Profile and see if he got the game he won from your raffle. If the game's not there, then he's right.

He can always give/sell the key to someone else and try to obtain another one.
