Just use barter. It'll take you a few minutes to understand and get used to. Once you do you'll have none of the problems your talking about.

Steamtrades has gotten steadily,. less useful - mostly because of multiple users using bot accounts to spam their threads.
Not sure if it's the same user you're complaining about, but at any point in time there's usually about 10-12 "trades" up by the same user, constantly getting bumped.
Why exactly don't we have any moderation on steamtrades again?

Not too bad, but at least 1-2 users doing it, so together they can flood most of the first page. (and so and then do exactly that)
I've been looking into barter, but it's quite bad imo,. trades just get declined without any further correspondence like they expect you to just bid twice what something is worth.
I've been having some decent luck with the fanatical discord channel, and i've set up another myself with around 175 users so far (and needs to grow a bit).

How much are you paying him for a good website here? No one needs to do free labor for you. People can abandon free projects as many times and as quickly as they want.
Look, it sucks. You have a site you like to use, you can't. Well, then either put up with it or quit. Or offer your own services to the person for free, like cg's already doing it.
Better yet, just make your own site. Work for free on it indefinitely and there's no problems. Easy peasy.

I'm not sure why I even commented. If a person's first instinct is to just yell and scream, then why even bother. Has there ever been recruitment for ST mods? I bet there are plenty of users here who would like to see it as an actually functional site and thus would volunteer for the job. Or did they all quit because it was too much work and nobody else wanted to do it either back then? It makes very little sense to complain that people aren't doing anything if they aren't allowed.

Well, first you have this, available for you right now. But after that literally public jury system for moderation, I don't know what you think can be modded? Like scams? Well, again, the voting system, which is moderated by all users. He got his word in. Though, yeah, not sure why those reviews haven't popped up for other people to moderate yet.

That voting system is the source of the problems, not a solution. You do realize that it would be trivial for any Russian bot farmer to put in thousands of votes for anything they want? A human mod could detect this and also punish users for breaking the rules constantly which now is happening never.
Because those sites are for trading game for game which I have very little interest in any more. Also Barter has a horrible UI that's fine for people with 1 game to trade. Lestrades is just Barter with better UI and last time I tried it gave even less trades than Barter. They are simply too much work for too little gain, that's why.
