One of my favorite games ever was "Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura" which was originally released on 2001
I was overjoyed when it was added to steam on August 21, 2001 :)

Do you have games that you are hopping to see being added to Steam?
Post them here :)

I would like to see in DD (Steam, or better on GoG)
The Lord of the Rings The Battle for Middle-earth 1 & 2
Dune and Dune 2
Discworld 1, 2 and Noir

Battle for Middle-Earth is an impossible dream, but I second this.

Battle for Middle-Earth is in license hell, not even limbo. Only way to play it either your old CDs or sailing to seven seas. But I would love it on GOG.

Edit: I was gonna reply to @Cromwell but welp. :)

I never got to play it (should look for a copy somewhere) but I heard only good things about Civ Alpha Centauri, it would be great to have it retouched to have proper, modern compatibility. And if we're already talking about Steam, it including Steam's multiplayer features.

If you are interested in playing it on a modern machine, there's a small bug that causes high cpu usage on idle

I use this patch to fix it among many other things and improvements

Max Payne, which is technically on Steam, but isn't sold in most of the places. Replayed it recently thanks to a giveaway!
And I guess many console exclusives which never made it on PC :D

Would be awesome if they bring The Simpsons Hit & Run to steam in some kind of remaster or the original itself🙃

I really liked the Transport Tycoon Deluxe in the old times.

There is an open source version on steam:

The Saboteur
Stranglehold

There's a handful more, but it's honestly baffling to me that those 2 aren't on Steam.

The Sting!
Ricochet by Reflexive Entertainment
NFS Underground 1-2, Most Wanted, ProStreet (not a fan of Carbon and everything that came out after ProStreet).

I've spent a lot of time playing them when I was a kid. Luckily other childhood games are available on GoG/Steam: Neighbours From Hell, Re-Volt, HoMM IV.

Most Wanted is my all time favourite NFS game, absolute masterpiece. Shame EA did that weak reboot of this game instead of just remade it with modern graphics. Although i replayed it 4 or 5 years ago and graphically its still holding up really well.

Not exactly an old game but I'm sure I would play al least 300 hours to Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled

Also I would love to see any of these games on Steam: Anarchy Reigns, any Guitar Hero (or all of them), The Saboteur, Sega Superstar Tennis, Suikoden, and old .hack games

There are way too many that I want to see on Steam, just not half-baked releases, but fully updated and enhanced with achievements and added extras. Especially having the missing titles completed from series that are already on Steam like: Civilization, Simcity, Settlers, Thief, Warlords (Battlecry) and a few dozen more.

And notably a couple others like: Alien Legacy, Freelancer, Lands of Lore series, Reunion.

Harry Potter 1 and 2 ✨

These were wonderful games! There was magic and fascinating immersion in them! 😊

Hogwarts Legacy is quite realistic and a bit gloomy - it seems to me that it has lost part of the fairy tale and the charm of the world of Hogwarts and that beautiful magic.

Even if the first two games had bugs and not such good graphics, you will quickly stop noticing it! After all, the main thing is the atmosphere! 💕

The X-files, Legend games (John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles, Shannara, Death Gate), The Dark Eye, Black Dahlia. They are not even on GOG.

The Dark Heart Of Uukrul would be my first choice. It's on Gog thanks to the efforts of a fan, and I doubt it'll ever be anywhere else. I could name a lot that are in Gog but aren't on Steam, or the release is different and doesn't work properly or it's incomplete.

Dune II would be my second choice. My first RTS, and I guess it's the same for so many people.

I could make a big list digging on memory lane...

Might & Magic 7-9 would be so great. (you can get 6 for buying Might & Magic X:Legacy (Deluxe Edition)). Imagine these games with steam achievements! (not that they are necessary, but would add tons of fun on top of the tons of fun already)
Steam/PC ports of Dark Cloud 1 and 2 (Dark Chronicle). I would drop everything to play these!

I wish EA would add old FIFAs but it's impossible as the licenses with many leagues/clubs expired a long time ago, even with FIFA itself recently. Other than that I just wish that older games got their translations back, like Majesty or Caesar IV.
