Have anyone experienced issues playing Terraria on Windows 10? I can play it only on windowed mode with 800x600 resolution :/

I could go through with software 'Windowed Borderless Gaming' though it just expand the game and looks even more pixelated x)

What do you know about this?

SOLUTION: Set compatibility mode as administrator and Windows 7

I haven't played it on windows 10, but I'll test it right now.

Edit: No it lets me switch to 1920x1080 fullscreen http://i.imgur.com/oAZo1W6.png

If you do, you get a black screen or you play it normally?

Normally but I guess my screenshot software doesn't want to screenshot properly in fullscreen game but yeah.

Sorry for offtop but how can I change SG colour?

I think it's based on your avatar. Change you avatar and you get a new color or something like that.

Don't get me wrong but arrent you trolling me? :P I mean, it's kinda hard to belive that changing the avatar will change white default background of the website to the black background like in your screenshot :P

And please don't be mad at me, it's just hard to belive so I want to make sure I understand you correctly :)

Sorry I didn't know you were referring to my screenshots. My brain is a bit fuzzy today. It's a tampermonkey script called SGv2 Dark

I think he was referring to the color of "member" on SteamGifts profiles.
Yours is red; Foe's is white; Idiosyncratic's is orange and mine is turquoise.
Those seem to be random depending on your avatar unless it's some kind of conspiracy run by the inner circle ;)

Thanks for explaining that, I should have understood what they were asking though since I had just posted a screenshot lol. They didn't say background and I've been using that script so long I forgot it's normally white lol.

Yeah I should be more specific about my question :P

I'll have to give it a go sometime. I don't mind the white background but so many people seem to enjoy the dark styles I should try them out for comparison.

The white is just really bright on eyes, especially when I'm in a dark room, which is fairly often.

LOL Don't listen to Idiosyncratic about avatars -- that's bullshit.

It's the SGv2 Dark Userstyle -- which when using the Userscript version lets you customize almost all the colors of SG.

There are a few userscripts that change the colors. I haven't tried them yet but I think those are the current versions:
SGv2 Dark 1.2.5
Steamgifts v2 dark blue

Do you have nvidia or amd and are those drivers fully update for 10? You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the game if it's from a previous os.

I've reinstalled, last drivers, AMD, verified caché integrity... Nothing worked :/

Yeah I just did a bunch of research on google and I can't find your specific issue. The only thing I can think of is drivers, but if you aren't having trouble in other games and it's just terraria then I'm not sure. Sorry I can't help.

There are multiple editions of XNA, have you installed them all?

I've installed XNA 4.0 and 4.0 refresh, there are more?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Each one is separate, i.e. you need to install the redistributables for XNA 1, 2, and 3 as well. Since XNA was discontinued it might not be inclusive with Windows 10, meaning you do need to install each framework. Even then, I don't know if that will solve the problem because since MS discontinued XNA there's not really any reference for it in Win10.

Post this screenshot and error report on the Terraria discussion boards on Steam. I think that's your best bet since the dev team is very active you could get it fixed properly quick. Could also try nudging Loki or Demi to take a look.
