Except for Danerys, I think they're pretty much at the end of Dance of Dragons already (except for the very end with Jon).
Also, they cut enough characters and redid shit with others that I have no idea what the hell is going to happen.

There are so many differences between the books and the series that it's getting really annoying. I'm actually considering dropping the series altogether because of it.

Yes, most movies/series are slightly or even completely different compared to books they are based on....but in most cases you can deal with it, cause usually you have read the book first.
But in this case the books aren't finished, so you are within one story and within another, and they are still very close , but different enough to be confusing.

Is this some kind of a new trend ? I mean House of Cards was leaked too, wasn't it ?
