If I had that I could get some of my ideas off the ground. Wanted to do an RPG for a while, but can't brain the concept of coding it all myself.

I've never really played any high quality, finished RPG Maker games on PC. But I have fond memories of when I got RPG Maker on Playstation back in high school. I played the demo RPG on disc, then I made an RPG. Then the game started circulating among friends. A couple of us bought copies and extra memory cards, then started lending out the game with the finished creation to other friends. Then a friend who was borrowing RPG Maker would make something. It was kinda cool how about 10 of us would just make games for each other to play. Some long and intense. Some short and silly. Some would be a tale that we'd come up with in each other's company and some would be heavily based on our group of friends. I miss that. It's something that I think is even easier to do now than it was that long ago. I'd love to have it, but there are certainly people who would make better use of VX than myself. Nice to see this kind of generosity, though. Maybe you'll kickstart this kind of thing for another generation. =)

I have an idea in mind! I want to make a simple RPG that parodies the internet service providers in my country! As the player, we would kinda battle against the "evil" providers who (1) cast lag/slow on us, (2) drain us of our GIL with overpriced monthly fees, (3) spike our connections and etc. I am still developing the story and battle sequence.
I am currently trying out the trial version on their website but would love to have the full version on Steam to try out more games/ideas in the future :D

I already started working on my game using the lite version. I spent probably 100 hours so far working on my tilesets and it's looking pretty good. I missed the 50% off sale which I had been waiting for so a giveaway for the game would be amazing!
I have the basic idea down for my game but it's sooooo much work, lol! I already know how to use the tool as I've used RPG Maker XP in the past but this is much, much better! Although I dislike the chibi characters... having the character generator is awesome to get the ball rolling, but normal sized sprites would have been nice.

I have experience with RPG Maker in the past specifically XP and Ruby 2 coding, never finished any projects but have a rather, grand, one planned. that RBSS3 would help with. Don't know much else I can say at this point.

I'd love to get the new RPG Maker and work on my own little game. Used the old version in the past a lot but that's years ago. The price is still too expensive though, that's why I didn't manage to buy it yet. Thank you very much for your giveaway even if I won't get in! I'd probably do a game about pigs (since I'm a pig myself) and the unholy reign of the pig Lord that wants to slave all other creatures with his pig army. Would probably be more comedy based and including some references, lol.
As for my favourite RPG maker game that would probably be Vampires Dawn 2 even though that's pretty mainstream. But I loved the game and played it a lot back then. Vampires are great anyways! The first Vampires Dawn got too repetetive pretty fast, still a fun game though and a nice show-off off the RPG maker abilities back then. Oh, wait, is Vampires Dawn even available in English?
Still have to play Too The Moon on Steam, already grabbed a copy though.

I've been working for a while on artwork for a couple RPGs I'd like to attempt making,
but I'm nowhere close to being ready to actually start putting either of them together.

Can not say I have ever used it, would love to give it a try though but its a little too expensive at the moment for my tastes.
If i had the chance to make my own little rpg with that I honestly would probably try to make something sort of like the Redwall books (I read those heavily as a child and really enjoyed them) so lots of animals fighting and in wars and stuff like that. Or i would try to make some kind of dark medieval game where you have to fight for the safety of your village from marauders, or I would do something with the vikings, they are always good and comical.

I was browsing through the most wanted list and I saw RPG Maker VX Ace. I'm planning on doing a give away for it later this week or next week, but one thing is bothering me. It being an RPG Maker game I'd really like someone to win who is serious about making a game with it. I wouldn't like the gift to go to someone who isn't, and really just wants to tool around and check out what it can do. It being a whopping 70 points I'd think people wouldn't take it lightly. It'd be awesome if the next To The Moon, Last Scenario, or Exit Fate could come from a steam gifts user. Anyways as a side note what are your favorite RPG Maker Games? Obviously my favorites are listed. You can now find To The Moon on steam. As for Exit Fate and Last Scenario both can be found Here and Here respectively. Both of which are free so double :)
Update: Well I'ms a little late rofl. But it paid off! Well for me, for once. Anyways I have a group set up now for the eventual giveaway. No Joke, the game is in my inventory and the give away will be created shortly and open for 2-3 weeks. I only want those really interested in making their own games. Write up a basic story/idea outline or what you'd like to do with RPG Maker and I'll send you an invite so that you may see and participate in the give away. If you just want to check out what RPG Maker can do try the lite version for free available Here
