So, I discovered finally, the joy of Saints Row.

The THQ bundle was great. I didn't have money to get it at the time (was going through stuff as per normal I guess, I'm used to it now) and someone gave me a key. I wasted little time in installing the game, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to fire it up and play. Mostly because I have no internet at the house, and haven't for about a month now, but whatever.

I gotta say, Saints Row The Third was freakin' awesome. That's when I remembered that I once gave away a copy of Saints Row 2. I figured it wasn't my kind of game since I was never really a fan of things like GTA, and it was my first giveaway.

Anybody else play this game still? Perhaps with the Gentlemen of Steelport mod pack?

Oh man, Saints Row 2 shoddy port aside is worlds better then the 3rd game, better city, better storyline, better NPC's, better side missions, etc...

Saints Row 3 is great fun but was a let down when compared to 2 directly, you should get it and make sure to patch it up and mod it sometime.

I wholly agree. I've played all of them. The first was great for how it was "new" and that statement covers the other 2.

I remember getting the original Saints Row with my Xbox. I felt that Saints Row did what GTA couldn't and that Saints Row was so much better than the GTA games.

I kinda enjoyed saints row 2,but the controls and playability were kinda shoddy,especially the driving in that game was plain awful,it was a long time that i have waited for a saints row with better gameplay and controls and i must say sr3 was an awesome and funny game,and it had all i expected since sr2.It could be me,but i enjoyed so much more sr3,i even finished it twice,and i got a savegame atm at around 50% on the third replay :)

Never got around to play the second part, due to the horrible, horrible cuts they made on the german version. But i love the hilarity, and overdrawn violence on the third.
