Hello, great people of the Internets.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend games like Castle Crushers/Metal Slug/Mercenary kings/Expendabros. etc.

I just want a game that's cool, interesting, and most of all has 3-player playing options.

Edit:
-Split screen is OK. What i wanted more is we all play on the same screen since we will be all playing on the same computer.
-I adore FPS, My friends hate FPS

+1! If you like Smash Bros. you're gonna love this! Also Worms Series (Pretty sure you know it), Lethal League (High Velocity Baseball/Fighting Crossover), Castle Crashers (Kinda like Double Dragon/Turtles in Time), Magicka (for fooling around with spells), Pixeljunk Monsters (Coop Tower Defense) and Rayman Legends (You should know that too, classic Jump'n'run). The other ones I can think of right now have already been mentioned.
Edit: Just saw you mentioned Castle Crashers in OP... Sorry :D Also PixelJunk monsters is only 2 players afaik.

If it's games that play 3 players, gotta try the Trine series.

One thing that comes to my mind is Lord of the rings: Return of the king.
It's just for two players, but I remember having A LOT of fun with my friends a few years back with the co-op mode.

Awesome suggestions. Hammerwatch looks particularly interesting.

I tried Hammerwatch with a friend, didn't like it. No story, boring combat, level design is okay but requires a ton of back tracking which can get a bit tedious.

Hey Tut,
I love Binding of Isaac, and in the "new" Rebirth has the option to pull a second player into the fold.

If you like a rogue-like game, with a play-though of something like 20~40 min, BOI:Rebirth will do wonders for u both! =D

LEGO games are great! Though in my opinion they become boring pretty quick (don't know about it when playing with a friend though).

well its more fun to play with someone :) but i agree that they get a little boring after a while because all the concepts are the same, i recommend LEGO Marvel Superheroes though, its really awesome and can be cheap when its on sale

Got that one a while bacl when it was on sale on bundlestars. I have played through a few levels, but I just played too much lego games at that time (I bought like 5 or 6 in one month time). I will play it later though, maybe even get a friend over or something.

I would suggest:

  • Hammerwatch: really fun and good game

  • Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds: interesting and colorful

  • Fist Puncher: some fun Level ideas and parodies

Technically Magicka can be played Local Co-Op aswell but using a controller for that one is pretty hard. Oh, and nearly forgot:

  • 1001 Spikes: a co-op platformer game, really tricky and rage inducing but probably a lot of fun with 3 or 4 people.

Four player on screen racing, Like Micro Machines. Well worth playing with friends.

Play through to unlock the tracks and when you get to the ice track that is two long straight sections with a 180 turn at each end, once there set the game up with four players, if any friends want to sit out set a comp player to hardest, have the weapons appear random and turn on air strike. That's how me and my mates used to play when we could meet up. That one track provided hours and hours of fun and laughs.
