I just bought a pair of Blundstone boots today and upon close examination the logo on the sole doesn't exactly look high quality, with some missing bits of rubber (click attached image to look up close). I want to make sure I wasn't sold a knockoff, soif you own Blundstone, I would appreciate it if you could have a look at your boots and say if the logo has any imperfections in it.

There Was A Caveman, and he wasn't wearing any boots.

I didn't have a pair of those but it sure is shitty if your brand new boots comes like that.

I don't know if it's on purpose. Why would they do that? It seems to me they're just not aiming high enough with the quality of their soles, relying on reputation perhaps a bit too much.

And mine is not overdone, it's just better photographed ;-)

I'm in Australia and wear Blundstones. The quality is not the same as they use to be but they are still a good boot. My last pair were direct from the official site and the logo on the side of the sole has some small imperfections like yours. Mostly on the B and t. The logo on the bottom (not the side) of the sole is perfect though. In the past there was an issue with the sole on some boots falling off, but this is no longer the case and anyone with a faulty boot was able to get a replacement or refund.

Where did you purchase yours from?

Thanks, it's good to know that rubber logo imperfections are not unusual. I also found this picture of the same model as mine which seems to have very similar imperfections.

I bought it in a local store and everything else about the shoes and the box looks legit. It's only that imperfect logo that has me thinking...

Update: I decided to keep the boots. They look and feel great otherwise, so not need to split hairs over an imperfect rubber logo.
