I'm genuinely happy you passed the interview and landed the job!
It stinks, when time passes and you get no call back.
About injuries, consider taking a mild physical practice instead of plain gym. Let me point you to Tai Chi, it is great for health, if you can stand practicing it mainly with older people.

Congratz!! It's a start. I won't be earning much with this summer job either, but I can't complain about getting a fun job a 15 minute bike ride away from home with chill work hours. For me having something to do and get more work experience is more important than what I earn right now.

Waheey! Congrats!
Just remember that having nerves or anxiety when starting out on new things is natural, and that making silly mistakes while learning the ropes is also normal (and also kinda expected). Here's hoping you enjoy the role, and here's to you enjoying your first paycheque when it comes through, haha <3
Nicely done.

In the summer of 2019, I graduated from (Swedish) high school. The plan was to take a year off and work for a while before pursuing higher education starting fall of 2020. So, how did that work out? Not well at all. It seems that there are no jobs for a recently graduated natural science student with no clear job experience to get. Even goddamn McDonald's didn't respond to my application, there was always someone with more qualifications applying.
So, from June to now, I have been at home doing nothing. I have 100%-ed so many games in this time because there was nothing else to do. I like to go to the gym, but in October I got hit with some kind of back injury which destroyed my ability to exercise, and, for a month or so, I couldn't even sit in a chair! So, I basically got forced into lying in my bed for a few months and now that I should (and need) exercise, I have no energy to get out of bed and do so. (Please, someone just force me to go to the gym!)
Now for the happier part.
A week or so ago I got accepted for an internship at my local library/event hall. I worked there before one summer, and I also basically grew up in that building so going back there to organize some books and concerts will be really nice. It'll give me something to do for a few months instead of lying in bed at home. But getting an internship isn't that hard. If I work from now to May/June, what the hell am I supposed to the summer before I'm off to university?
So I started looking for summer jobs. Hoped for more luck, even though before I had only failed. And two days ago, I got a call from a company. He said that they were basically finished with the interviews but they wanted to meet me this last second. Yesterday, I met up with him for a job interview. And today, he called me to say that I got the job!!!!!! The very first job interview that I passed!!!!
And it's a damn fun job. I will be a guide for the local Cold War fort/museum! I'm so excited! And this means that from now to August when university begins, I will finally have something to do! I just wanted to share because I'm so happy.
