I feel like there's much more ambiguity to your puzzle than you might think.

I don't want to spoil too much by describing what I've done, but i have now tried 80+ different combinations, which all would have made sense depending on the interpretation of the puzzle and the information source. I even found an unrelated 6 years old giveaway. And that doesn't even factor in the slight case ambiguity or the fact that we might even not be looking for a 5 character code.
Either I am missing something which makes it unambiguous or it is not working as intended. Since I don't see any comment on any of the giveaways, I am assuming, no one has solved it yet.

I'm in a similar situation. The first solution I came up with and had high confidence in did not work, even after I tried many permutations on account of the ambiguity you mention. I clearly took a wrong somewhere.
I'll do what I always do in such cases - give up on the puzzle and wait for hints.

the problem is i used the right colour but the compression from posting shifted it ever so slightly,
also please adjust the comment from identifying the object. 😅

Could you maybe replace the image with one that uses lossless compression? For example, the PNG format.

i would love too and even just tested it, but the 2 areas of issue still have the issue when put into a image colour picker system thinking its the wrong code

One problem I noticed is that the areas of interest do not have uniform colors. There's a slight gradient which means that different points yield different values. Dithering effect?
I modified your original image to fill the two problematic areas using solid colors that match what I believe are the correct expected values. This should help reduce the ambiguity significantly. Please check the image below to confirm.

I'm trying with the picture in the OP, but was not successful, so now I'm attempting to try with your picture, but was still unsuccessful. (OP's last hint mentioned only one colour has two words, but I'm getting -two- two-worded colours in this picture. OTOH, OP's picture yielded no two-worded colours at all :) )
Just to be sure it isn't my monitor displaying colours differently, your picture very obviously differs from OP's picture for one of the colours. Is that intentional?

Yes, the OP changed one of the colors in his image shortly after I posted my version. The original one (which mine is based off) had two two-worded colors. He updated it to make the 3rd color name less ambiguous, but I think it's easier to get the 5th color using my version

:O Interestingly, the 5th isn't a point of contention at this point because both pictures consistently give me the same colour name (which is different from the more common name that first popped into my mere mortal mind)
Maybe I'll also try tweaking the 5th char a bit. Thanks for the reply to confirm that my eyes/monitor aren't wonky, and thanks for providing the alternative pic for the rest of us to have a higher chance of cracking the correct name!

yes if there are 2 words to the colour name you would use the first letter

Wow, It's been so long and I've slept through so much of it until recently. All of these colours are just sooo bright I can't look. Could you help me figure out what they are called? I can't let go to check myself.

Final hints added early.
-use colour names from either SpyColor , or imagecolorpicker.
-when using a colour picker to find the colour either use a saved image or a copy paste feature to get the most accurate results. there are issues when just using the image link which can result in the wrong colour shown for the 5th option.
-only 1 colour is a 2 word name
-the size of the objects in the image matter and there are only 5 to give an SG link
