Earlier this week I received Arma II: Combined Operations as a gift and unpacked it into my library. With the humble bundle giveaways, I just noticed that Arma II isn't showing up as purchased on the steam site. It's still listed in my steam client and installable, but doesn't show as owned on the main store.

Is this just some kind of glitch? Should I not worry about it or should I contact support about it?

Yeah, I bought JC2 for a friend once, and he said it's in his Library and he installed it but it says he needs to buy it.

Wait for a few days or hours, they'll fix it.

Yeah, I was thinking it was just a glitch. I hadn't installed it yet but I told it to just to test it out and it seems to be working fine. Thanks

Alright, just going to assume that it's a steam problem then and that they'll fix it eventually. I wonder if that's because it shows up as Arma 2 and not Arma II.

Because it's "Arma 2" in library but it's "Arma II" on store.

I wondered about that!

This is simply cuz the base game is Free. The arma 2 you are buying is the hi-rez stuff and a hand full of other things. It will always appear as not owned. I bought Arma X and it does not have the Green bar on steam saying i own it, but i do.

This makes a great deal of sense! I didn't know there was a free version of it.

I've had it for a while, 18 months or so and it's not showing as owned for me either on the store page. I couldn't tell you if it ever did, it's not something I noticed.

There are 2 different app#s for Arma 2 in the Steam database
For some reason the one from the Humble Bundle activates as the one without a store page. Although it sounds like people who bought from the store get that version too.

I bought Arma X from the Bohemia site back before Christmas and it doesn't show as owned on Steam. There are a number of other examples of this Painkiller: Black/Gold Edition and I think I had the same problem with Just Cause 2 which has been mentioned already. I wouldn't hold out hope for a quick fix (or even an long drawn-out fix) as the Painkiller issue has been going on since at least November last year.

They recently changed publishers (or dist.company). So there's more than one steam ID(app id) connected with that game. I think the problem you're referring to is due to that.

That seems to be exactly it.

The one included with the bundle is strangely the version with 505 Games as the publisher while the one in the store has Bohemia as the publisher.
