This is by far, one of my favourites games of all time, and this release (by no means perfect) is an excellent rendition of the classic, for modern and nostalgic audiences. A critique could be the lack of the original files for DosBOX, and a keyboard rebinding option (it only supports the original setup), maybe because is the same port of the Switch. Doesn't really know...

But hey! It's good old Flashback!

FLASHBACK™, the hit action-adventure game with over 2.2 million units sold, is back!

  1. After fleeing from a space ship but stripped of all memory, the young scientist Conrad B. Hart awakens on Titan, a colonised moon of the planet Saturn. His enemies and kidnappers are snapping at his heels. He must find a way back to Earth, all the while defending himself against the dangers he encounters and unravelling an insidious extra-terrestrial plot that threatens the planet…

On its 25th anniversary, rediscover this classic, consistently ranked among the best 100 games of all time! It was one of the first games to use motion capture technology for more realistic animations, with backgrounds that were entirely hand-drawn and a gripping science-fiction storyline.

Travel back to the early 90’s and reunite with Conrad to rediscover this cult classic.

  • Choose to play with the original graphics and sounds from the 90’s and face an unforgiving difficulty.
  • Or go with the Modern mode. You can also fine tune your experience by turning on Modern mode options independently and on the fly.

Enhanced content:

  • For the first time ever, play the Director’s Cut version featuring 2 exclusive cutscenes
  • White or pink? Choose among the two iconic colors of Conrad's t-shirt
  • Want to practice on a specific level? You can now play any completed level during the main adventure
  • Replay any cutscene that you unlocked from the menu
  • Jukebox: listen to the game's soundtrack
  • Street Art gallery: earn points in the game and unlock street art pictures in the gallery

Modern mode:

  • Post-FX graphic filters,
  • Completely remastered sound and music,
  • A brand new "Rewind" function, variable according to the level of difficulty
  • Tutorials for those who need a boost!

Tell me. I played the French version on MS DOS. Was an exercise in deduction half of the time, and dying horribly the other half. I was able to finish it much later.

Still in love with this SOB..

I played the FR version as well. As a kid who didn't speak French I skipped all text and animations and just wanted to roll and shoot. Hovewer I have the word Bouclier engraved into my memory from checking and charging the shield.
I spent days playing the Jungle level and the Tower game show level.

It's possible I also had the French version, but it might've been the English since I didn't know a single word in either of them. DOS as well.

Same here, I chalk it up to being too young to understand subtlety but it’s also probably lacking in design a bit too since it was the early days of video game design. Curious what it would be like as an adult nowadays.

I remember playing this game a loooooong time ago. I wasn't very good at it and did not get very far, but I did enjoy it while playing it!:)

I checked to see if it was on Steam as well. Alas, I will have to wait until it is!

Same company. Similar style: Cinematic Platformer

Another excellent one is "Heart of Darkness" from the same developer as Another World

It is the worst travesty in the history of this game. Horrible in almost every respect.

Great! People here wanted it for steam. Now they can get it. I bought it on GOG back in the day, but they deserve every sale they can get.

This one seems great but I wish they had included the Sega MegaCD voices like the REminiscence port/remake does. I'll definitely get this on sale (or in a bundle).
