when buying it on Steam
But you're not buying it on Steam, you have a key. You need to check the region restrictions, if there are any, on the retailer's website.

Right, thus my question.
Previously when I had region locked keys, Steamdb would show what the regions were.
It's not showing any restrictions, just that message.
I guess it's a global key. I'm just doing my best to make sure.

Where is the key from, if I may ask? (not sure how much I can help but I can try looking too)

That's huge.
But, there you have it! :D
Looks mostly global (the widely banned countries I know of are in the list), but you can also list them manually in the Region Restrictions settings when creating the giveaway if you want to be safe.

I have this Roadwarden key, Steamdb: 394216
On the information page it says: "Cross region trading and gifting is disabled for this item." and also the "AllowCrossRegionTradingAndGifting" setting is set to: "No"
I am reading, google is my friend, that this effects the ability to gift the game when buying it on Steam.
Before I give it away on here, I want to make sure it's not region locked. I don't want the winner to not be able to activate it.
Does anybody know?
