Knight Shift - most missions happen during the day.

Sleeping Dogs... I played through the entire game and i didnt see even one dog that was sleeping! >.>

Farcry, i hoping for a long emotion jouney can make me cry for a long time,.,,,...crazy in;t it

War of the Roses. Not a single flower in-game

Torchlight - nothing about torches at all :/

Final Fantasy - followed by dozens of sequels, remakes and spinoffs.
At least Square Enix got better with naming their games later - with no sequel to The Last Remnant in sight.

Dune 2

first time i heard about it from friends, i thought what a stupid game title, the game must be stupid and boring too. but then later that week i went to a nearby game shop, looked at the game cover (i think it was a troop in front of the energy building) and i was sold.

mind you, i was a little kid that time, so i didnt know about "dune" the novel or film.

Unreal Tournament 3... where there was no longer any 'tournament' aspect within the game.

Unstoppable Gorg - he is stoppable.

World of Goo - the world is not actually made of Goo.

Scribblenauts - more like... Typingnauts.

Monster Party - I was expecting to get rad with a bunch of monsters but no... well there is the dancing zombie bosses so maybe that's the "party"

English Country Tune - Expecting a music game not a puzzle game.

I expected Mark of the Ninja to be about a ninja named mark.

One word: DERP.

When i first heard of Mirror's Edge, it thought it was a game about mirrors.

StarCraft. Not a single star crafted in that game.

Batman: Arkham Origins is not about the origin of Arkham.

Galactic Arms Race: I thought about something sci-fi racing game. You are not racing.

Unreal Tournament 3: I thought about the Liandri Corporation's Championship. You are not on the tournament.

Killing Floor: I thought about, that you must avoid touching the floor, or it will kill you. You are killing specimen (NOT ZOMBIES! :O)

VVVVVV: I thought, it was 3 pieces of "W". You get 6 "V".

Runescape - I thought I'd need to be an escape button and run
Team Fortress - I thought I'd need to kill my teammates and make a fortress out of them

New Tomb Raider... Should be called "the survivor"... it went totally different routes from the older ones

Killing floor - I thought you were the husk and you needed to escape by using your hand-weapon-launcher-thingy to solve puzzles to get to the next floor. Then you would kill your maker on the final floor.
