sometimes people have giveaways with rules, in those giveaways an entry is not enough

why not ask those who did the giveaway?

If you look through your entries and find the specific giveaway, we can tell you. I checked my internet history and haven't done a re-roll for you, so I don't know.

I do know that you won one of my giveaways very recently. I checked your games and you already had it in your games list so I asked for a reroll and it was granted. There was no actual need for me to contact you, cause there was nothing you could do, it was already in your account.

You should double check when you enter a giveaway for DLC to make sure you don't already own it. As far as I know currently most if not all DLC is not automatically removed from the giveaway list like most games are due to the way steam does things. So its up to the person entering the giveaway to make sure they don't already own it.

Personally I use Steamgifts plus to make sure I don't see giveaways for DLC I already own. Steamgifts V2 will have this same feature added right into it where you can hide any game/DLC/Item you want. But again it will be up to the person entering to make sure they don't already own it. To do that, I always go to the steam page for the DLC to see if I own it. If I do it goes on the list, if not I enter it.

Maybe this is a good suggestion for V2 of the site, have rerolls automatically send a message to the person who originally won a message about why the reroll happened. It would at least inform the person.
