When was this a race about who can give out most?

An easier way to compare regional pricing is to use SteamPrices.
And yeah, it does seem like Russians get awesome deals on a lot of games.

I wish steam would add all the prices possible. I'd love Latvian Lats, or uh, atleast roubles in here. I am okay with Euro too, but regional pricings are being a bitch. I don't like the idea to overpay almost twice. (Actually trice now compared to Russians).

"Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like the currency of funds in your Steam Wallet does not match the currency of this purchase."
Interesting. Went through the purchasing process to see what it would do. That's what it did because I have like $20 in my Steam wallet... didn't expect that to work, but I was hoping it would let me use Paypal and maybe that would convert for me. Paypal isn't an option though, apparently.
It's like a constant sale for Russians!

In some CIS countries prices are lower too but in dollars. Portal 2 for 15 dollars.

Same here. And actually, now that I think about it, the OP still fits our thought process spot on.

Considering half of the top rip-offs aren't even good titles. Now look at this: http://www.steamprices.com/au/topripoffs

Yes, Australia and Brazil are the most discriminated countries in Steam, for sure.

$30 for ARMA: Cold War Assault, $3 for Fortix... some of titles increased their price for us.

Still, $6.9 for Section 8 DLC packs and Booster Trooper, $20 for Monday Night Combat, BC2 Vietnam for $20.. But others are cheapier. As far as i can see, 98% games decreased their price, 1% didn't exchanged, 1% became more expensive... it's the funniest shit which i've seen.

After this around 200 games is not available for buy in Russia. And a lot of problems with DLC. I can buy DLC, but can't install it for CIS game version. I must waiting until local company create a localization.
It's two sides of medal. Good (price) and bad (some games is CIS and DLC, patching problems).

For example: Region Free Deus Ex: HR with all languages only for $16.50 (499 RUB). Now Russians can create the most useful giveaways with non-indie-crap. If you want to check all prices in Russia visit this link: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=ru and convert rubles into dollars with google. Don't forget visit this link when you finished: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us to prevent showing rubles in your steam client:
