cool, sweet, thanks for this info. i played a solid 50 hours of this game some years back and enjoyed the fuck out of it but it put a huge strain on my PC. now that i upgraded id already been wanting to return to it. it's a lot of fun.

I don't know if this could help, but if you create the folder first and compress it, supposedly all new files going in there will be compressed too. I've not used compressed files/folders since Win7 so dunno how it goes in W10/11.
Compressed it should be about 45gb FYI. I was going to link something I read regarding this but I can't find where I saw it, maybe in the announcement thread in Steam.

All you need to do is login once into Killing Floor 2 (just run the game, it logs in with your Steam/Epic/[Other?] user automatically) to receive all that's mentioned in this community post: https://steamcommunity.com/games/232090/announcements/detail/3954790541880695924
ASF or similar will not work. Since the game needs to log in, you need to actually install the 95 GiB and run it yourself. It is confirmed to work in Steam and Epic, I don't even know if the game is in other platforms, and if it works in them. There's also no notice about deadline. My guess is that it's for all players' next log in, now or in the future. Or maybe it'll run until spring, since it has been announced during the Winter Quality Update. However, no one knows, so better do it soon (friendly advice).
The items will appear in your inventory, without notification; you can open your inventory to check in the KF2 section. Items and skins are not tradable nor marketable. The tickets will also appear in the inventory, they are marketable, tho they're like half a million (no joke, it's literal) of each selling at minimum price. Don't count on selling them easily. Even if you unlocked any item before, you'll get it again, stacked in your inventory.
