XCOM 2 is just too good. Then SteamWorld Heist and Ryse Son of Rome was added in... simply overwhelming.

I bought all the monthlies between 11/2015 to 7/2016, then took a break and started again with the XCOM2 bundle (2/2017). I'm not planning to skip any more months for the time being. It's just too easy to trade the early unlock for something that covers most or all of the bundle cost, and the other games in the bundle are typically high quality and attractive in their own right.

I voted 2/2017 like most other people. This one was amazingly good.

I'm really curious who were the 2 users who voted for August 2016 as the best one. That was a shameful month for HB. I hope they learned their lesson after seeing many people (like me) taking taking extended breaks from the monthly bundles. It's not easy to win people back, though they probably did just that with the XCOM2 bundle.

Yeah it was very hard to pick one that had all great titles, or something for everyone's taste, but February really stands out. Minion Masters in the December bundle was a bit of a bummer, but the other games (particularly the unlock) were all top-notch and varied enough to have something for (possibly) everyone.

That said, I can't say I'm disappointed with any of them, and picking a third choice would be difficult ...

Ah, it's very interesting to see all the percentages in comparism. It also shows that percentages aren't a good indicator for the overall quality of the bundle, February '17 is only low because of Husk. And even if reviews are overwhelmingly positive, it doesn't mean it contains games that everyone loves, for example, I just can't stomach all that retro-pixel-stuff, while someone else may just love it. Anyway, the best bundle is probably the one where everyone finds something they like, along with some good early unlock, so I'll go with February 2017 as my favorite, because it offers a lot of variety.

Yeah, percentage system has a few major flaws, like 90%ish positive with a few dozen reviews, just isn't the same as with a few thousand reviews. Niche products have a certain advantage to get better percentages, because people who don't like that genre probably won't buy or review that kind of game in the first place. There's often a lot of hype around major mainstream releases, leading to more extreme percentages. But still, it's interesting to see. Thanks for composing all that info.

I'd say it's important to differentiiate between what we objectively think to be the best bundles and what was best for us personally. For example I think that Nov2015 or Apr2016 were objectively very good bundles, containing many games which I see not even as good but as awesome ones, but as I owned most of these best games (5/8 and 4/8 in both cases including ones I see as best in these bundles) thus for me personally these bundles were far from being great. On the other hand Oct2016 for example may not have any big AAA game but since I only had 1 of the games in the bundle and all of them seem great for me personally it would be much better bundle.

If you trade, the difference between the two is not that big. I already consider next month's bundle to be one of the best, because I got the full value of the bundle (in gems) by trading away the early unlock.

if you trade, I do not trade, always been to lazy for it and i don't have patience to deal with all lowballers and noobs attempting scams ;p thus for me what matters the most is quantity and quality of stuff I do not have ;p

I wasn't really sure about the Early Unlock but gladly smog0 already solved that mystery :) But even if it would have been at that point I had not looked into Humble Monthly yet and was like Naw, a 12$ blind Bundle is a bit pricey for my taste... I'm sure it's gonna get rebundled at some point. Now almost 1 year later and the game hasn't been bundled since I kind of regret I didn't try to trade for it instantly.

Even Steredenn appeals to me, had it on my wishlist some time ago. I like both pixelart and roguelikes which should be a good starting point. The main highlights for me are 'The Forest' and 'Dungeon of the Endless' however. Have not played the former so far but I am kinda excited about DotE. Not after my very first run but 120 hours later the game still keeps me interested. As Fallout fan 'Wasted' seems also interesting and I would spend time with 'PA-Titans', 'Keep Talking' and 'Rocket League' as well.

Btw I do really appreciate the effort you put in answering and caring about every member, that's unusual and deserves some credit.

So is the general consensus that August 2016 was the worst? Because apart from that one I've had games I've enjoyed from every one. I've been subscribed since the beginning, I figure at worst I'll get some games to trade or give away, and most months there's been a couple of wishlisted games in the bundle, even if they were more obscure. Going through the months, apart from August 2016 and the most recent months where I haven't got around to them, I've played 1-3 of the games. So they are definitely worth it for me.

EDIT: Wrong reply.
Yeah i agree with you. I just stay subscribed anyway, so I got the bundle by default, but I was really hoping there would be something on my wishlist in the rest, but it was just random games. I blame activision, as they have terrible policies regarding their old games, no bundles ever and never giving big discounts on them. So this was literally the best they could offer to humble monthly. I hope they don't offer them a slot on any more of the monthly bundles.

A multiplayer-only demo, a multiplayer-only indie game with no servers and no players, a repackaging of an action game trilogy already bundled to half-death, a multiplayer-only party game that is usually played with friends/family at one physical space, a bullet hell game which is an incredibly narrow and niché genre on the West, and two platformers.
Granted, not the worst bundle ever created, but for example if you are a person who plays single-player games, half of it is instantly useless. And last time I checked, more people play SP only than MP.

Yeah it was a bad month if you mostly play single player. The main issue is activision and their crappy policies regarding their games. They have never done a bundle, and never discount their old games much. So no doubt humble thought it would be nice to have COD in the bundle and this was literally the best activision could offer them. They are my least favourite big publisher.

Mine is Zenimax/Bethesda, but Activision certainly jumped good many places in that list, especially since they merged with Blizzard. I guess CAPCOM or UbiSoft is good for a third place. :D

The only time games with lots of lazy sequels and tons of DLC get my money is when they are deeply discounted and include all the DLC. Which is why the 'activision' category in my steam library has literally only got this BLOPS III demo I got from the humble monthly.
I'll admit I have a softer spot for ubisoft, not because of their big name games, which are often pretty lazy, but more because of the smaller titles they release such as Valiant hearts, Child of Light and grow up. I like that they seem less afraid to experiment. And they also don't mind dropping the prices.

My first was back in July 2016 so I'm going to judge from there forward.

November 2016 and forward has been really good in my opinion. Each bundle since then has had numerous Wishlisted games of mine. Probably Nov. 2016 or Feb. 2017 would be my pick for my favorite overall bundle since July 2016. XCOM 2 was probably my favorite early unlock so far.. so I might lean toward Feb. 2017 more. I have to wonder about Husk though.. is it really as bad as the reviews show?

August 2016 would probably be my least liked.. and hands down Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Multiplayer Starter Pack was the worst early unlock out of the history of the Humble Monthly. On a positive note for me, Van Helsing Final Cut was great for me cause I didn't own any of them. On the downside many users either had all of the Van Helsing games or most of them already. I think Van Helsing would of been the early unlock had it not been for the things I've mentioned. The Aug. 2016 bundle just had a bad overall selection. I remember everyone talking about how the early unlock is horrible so the rest has to be awesome.. yeah not the case lol.

I don't have that much on my wishlist (not every game that I have thought about buying), but February '17 had 2 games that were actually on my wishlist and one more that would have ended up there sooner or later, so a great bundle for me. And XCOM2 would probably not have ended up on my wishlist, but I had thought about buying it already.
