Contributor value is nice and gets you better chances at winning, but definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to try to rise their value by such questionable methods which may end up getting them banned. It's just not worth it, they will sooner or later be caught.

He hasn't made any real giveaways for the community. He has only made private giveaways for his one friend who then automatically wins the game. He's giving his friend a game but masking it as a giveaway, thus getting contribution points which he doesn't deserve.
