No, Amnesia is OVERRATED, its not even scary most of the times. Even F.E.A.R. had a better atmosphere.

Brace Yourself.

Amnesia makes you feel weak, and useless, giving you only your wit, and constantly battering your senses. Wear some nice headphones, sound reduction, isolation. Try to sit there, and just sort of, tune out around you, play in the darkness, make sure you, and only you can hear the sounds.

Amnesia is best played with headphones in my opinion. Considering I use $100 headphones, they .. really make things seem more immersive.

The self-depreciating mystique of not knowing will overshadow the unknown terrors you've been warned about. You'll shine light on those terrible stories, revealing them as baseless lies. Then the truth will swallow your dignity, cost you your pants, and make you buy a new computer chair. But deep down, you'll know. You tried. It wasn't worth it, but you braved that darkness and returned alive. The nightmares will cling to the edges of your perception for the rest of your life, clawing closer when the lights dim and the house grows quiet. But you were there. You survived. You can always tell yourself that.

I'm going to comment for the third time here, even if you don't find the game super friggin' scary, I think you'll find it impressive. The visuals are beautiful, the story is interesting, and hell, after playing Amnesia, I want to buy myself an old oil lamp :p
