From Windows 8, probably. From Windows 7, wait and see.

No games run directX 12, and most games will keep running DirectX 9, so better seeing lots of opinions and bug fixes before.

I read somewhere that after installing the Windows 10 upgrade, reverting to Windows 7 will be possible.
Can't remember if this was from an official source or not...

It's possible, but it takes up a ton of space since you have two operating systems on your PC

no need to stay on an 6 year old operating system.
8.1 just need two weeks and after that it is a great os. i think it will be the same for 10.

pretty sure once your turn your copy to windows 10 your key will no longer work for 7 at least that was how it was described in the beginning.
that said 10 looks pretty solid and is the last version of windows to be made according to M$ so we will all have it at some point but ill liklt hold off a few months and let them work through all there security issues every new version comes with.

Yes they said it, but I'm still not sure about the last one though except they have some agenda.
(left OS business, a new kind of advanced OS 3D or not windowed, changing name)
I still think we will get more newer and advanced hardware, and new function/ peripherals, that will need new OS.
