the problem as I see it may be that you would have to find bunch of people in the same group, that all own the same multiplayer games that are listed in tournament (2 ppl don't own game XYZ, they will not be able to form a team and will lose a match by definition), now not only that but all these 6 people from same group with same games have to basically live in same timezone and have same work/school/day scheldues to be able to play at the same time and now on top of that they scheldues must allow them to specifically play at 4PM GMT. This generally excludes all the US players and also some of Europeans as well. For me 4PM GMT is 6 PM so usually I would be home and ready to play, but someone living in UK would be just getting off from work.
That's actually pretty hard to manage ;)

I will be talking to mc this weekend and there may be some updates to this that will hopefully make it more viable

It's time for most epic tournament on SG there ever have been. Or at least for this week. The best part is that every group can join! Tho we need to restrict how many groups we let in so the tournament wont be like forever :P
So it's going to be like this.
1
Every group will have 6 members to form a team. 5 players playing and 1 spare player. This team will play together to win the tournament ofc. It isn't enough just to be a team to win :P It's allowed to make a group together with other groupless people.
Each team will play in a pot of 3 other teams. The two with most points advance. You will get points for each match. you will be awarded 3 points for winning, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for losing. Don't worry. You will still have a chance to play on if you lose every match. There will be a wildcard wich will be chosen by the other losing teams.
The wildcard team will get a spot in the semi finals.
2
You can win some games! YAY! Games! The team can win 6 x @game title@ for the team :-) i haven't yet decided wich one yet. There will be some who also donate some games to the game pot so that will be pretty awesome. You may also donate if you want too, it will only make the tournament more awesome ;-)
I think that is how it's going to go. Here is some more info;
1)
To join the tournament there must be ONLY ONE from the group who signs in. There is no reason to make a gigantic group spam thread. Only one. He/she will also tell who the other 5 persons in the team are. You sign in by saying "@group@ is signing in with @name of all 6 players@". If another from that group signs in that team will not be accepted, due the only 1 team pr group rule.
2)
If you have any VAC status you will be disqualified. Nobody like cheaters.
3)
There will be different series of games wich order will be chosen by wich two teams have most in common. The games are; Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, DOTA 2, CSS, Left 4 Dead 2/LoL and Team Fortress 2. So if you don't have Black ops 2 you will not have to play it :-) There may be added more games if necessary
4)
If your team isn't capable to play it's match you will lose it.
At last
The tournament is mostly just for fun so don't take it to hard if you don't win. The tournament will start when the first teams are ready.
The rules and other things in this thread can be changed without notice, if need for improvement
