I figured everything about this game out pretty fast - except what actually gives points^^
I mean I haven't made any mistakes really. No lives lost. Never started a wave before the current
was 100% cleared to maximize interest. Never upgraded towers when it wasn't necessary.
(the many blue towers were added pretty late when like $4500 from a few hundred thousand $ is basically nothing)
So...? Do I lose points when I am tabbed to elsewhere (and the game pauses itself)?
Do I lose points if I don't hit next wave immediately/auto?
I don't get it... just barely broke the necessary points limit but I'm really
curious how others get twice as many points but even lose lives?

You lose points only when you lose lives (it looks like it's a % of the total points, but I'm not sure). The only thing that influences your score is the money (and killing the vectoids, but you get most of the points with the money).

That was a challenge. Got me up till late, and since today is my day off at work I was trying again from the moment I sat in front of the computer. And I finally did it. 9 655 583 points. I'm a happy penguin now.
Kind of disappointing though that it doesn't matter if you did or did not lose any lives, or if you rush the waves. Only thing that matters is money.

First place a red one. later build slowers. And farm till you can buy the rocket.. then let the rocket do all the work till mobs come with 45k aprox..you will farm till then a lot of money with interest. And then just go little by little and you will do it.
