Mine is alright, played today multiple times, checked as I wrote the comment. Was checked for update a minute ago, running stable system updates only.

I've had my Deck for a few months now, this was always the case for me. Looked it up right away 'cause it seemed counterintuitive and people seem to agree that it's changed with an update even further back...

No problems for me regarding that, except my Steam Deck can be hard to start by pressing the button before, so i followed a YT guide to fix it, which involved adjusting the motherboard to a different position.

how far back cause i hardly update it ever and everytime i update it the deck gets worse in some way.... last time it was the screen shot sharing overhaul that sucks doodoo now
without fixing the problem of your last screen shot will be in your next one if you take them in a row ruining it.

Well that fix i just did recently. Changing my SSD tho a few months back. Actually i do keep it on all the time (power saving mode) just to skip the moment of starting it. Otherwise software wise i did not have that much problems (unless that power on thing is one of those).

Mine hasn't had any issues lately, and I run with beta updates along with decky tools and such. For a little while it had issues when starting up it would hang for a bit or skip the intro video but it's been fine as of late.
