It's not the end of the world.
Just wait 7 days. Not that hard.

You are driving an empty bus.
At the first stop, 3 people get on.
At the second stop, 2 people get off and 5 people get on.
At the third stop, 1 person gets off and 4 people get on.
At the fourth stop, 6 people get on and 10 people get off.
What is the name of the bus driver? :-)
Comment has been collapsed.
The amount of people still on the bus after the fourth stop is 5, which might mean that you're implying that the bus driver's name is 5 letters long.
According to my deductive skills, you live in the US where the most common name is James, which by coincidence is also 5 letters long.
Therefore the 47 year old grey haired bus driver is wearing dark grey polyester pants, a light blue buttoned shirt and a dark blue vest, necktie and hat.
He also owns a cat called Charlie.

One was confused? :P

Yes, the bus driver got off.
Everything in the description (except for the first line) is meant to distract you from the first line of the description, so that you are less likely to be able to answer the question posed in the last line (even though the answer should be obvious if you payed attention to the first line).

And these are the first 3 words.
At least you can have some fun here.

So don't get angry.

imo, those were not nice people
Edit: a bummer, should be a cool game. got it on family sharing, hadn't played yet

It's more common for people to mark it "received" without having actually accepted it, making more work for Support in the process. Still, if you have any problems with gift feedback, we are here to help. D

I can think of several jokes connected to that, but as I am part of Support staff, I can't joke around like that. P
You've checked Steam (I assume), and you've checked email. Have you checked for a key on the "won" page?

by no means an official answer here, but i believe not marking it either way is acceptable if it is also not received due to the fact that it would still fall under the "no feedback" area, and would still remain in the either direction category basically.. However, flipping that, if you have received the gift/key then not marking it would be against the rules (given a certain unknown to me time factor im sure)

Yeah, I kinda figured that getting a key but not marking it would be against site rules, but I was thinking that maybe in this situation, and especially in llama's case where he was unavoidably absent for an extended time, then allowing a GA creator more time to send a key might be ok..

During the seven-day grace period, the creator is supposed to gift the winner, and the winner is supposed to mark it received. Delays can happen, which is why we have the grace period.
It is permissible to leave the giveaway/gift unmarked as long as it has not been received. Once it has been received, you have to mark it received. One poor winner had to wait three months before he received his gift, and he left it unmarked until that time.
After the seven-day grace period, a gift may be marked as "received" or "not received." Once you have marked it (one way or another), it is possible to change it by selecting another option or toggling it off. Needless to say, changing a gift to "not received" when you really have received it is a no-no.
If the game you receive is either not redeemable on your account, or differs from what was offered in the giveaway, it would be marked "not received." Winners are accountable for any games which they marked "received" and will be penalized if said games have not been redeemed to their accounts.

since noone mentioned yet, you should wait seven days and mark as not received. also give frog a kiss.

Be patient. I waited 3 month for a giveaway, but I recieved it and liked it.

Only for a short period of time. The gifter had a trustfull profile.

I'd leave the guy a message in the giveaway thread.

Wait, how many days? I thought it was a week and now you're telling me its 7 days? So confusing... :P

I had the reverse of this problem. I sent a Gift through a guys Email, and he never marked it recieved.
After 6 days I just got ahold of him on steam, and he finally marked it as recieved.
I've also waited as long as 5 days before I was sent a Prize.
Unless it's a Very expensive game, I would'nt worry about it.

Yeah, I won't be making that Mistake again. I'll send it Straight through Steam. As long as I know the steam account number linked to their SG Profile, I can send a Steam Gift through Steam.
Of course I don't send it if their Profile is Set to Private, and I can't check whether they own the game.
No need to chip in, I have a Link to the old SGv1 tools, and Steam Enhanced so I can look up what they own, even with their Profile set to Private, and I'd always make sure to contact them and ask them to lower they're privacy setting if it were an Issue, before I requested a New winner.
No, other then my Manners, I think I'm starting to do pretty good on this site. :-)

I marked a win as not received after waiting 7 days, but it turns out there was a problem with the delivery via email (email was correct, steam screwed up) but the the giveaway creator gave me the gift over steam and I was able to change the not received to received.
But this was on the old steamgifts, so, just mart it not received, if you get it the gift and can't change it just submit a ticket and support will change it.

"One week ago I've won a giveaway from a person"
He already responded to like a dozen people who also couldn't read the whole post... why you guys are so trigger-happy while didn't even read neither to OP's post correctly, neither the answers? :\

"Currently Offline

I guess he just happens to not have been around for a week is all, and will take care if it when he gets back on. He seems pretty reliable... other than the 3 games he didn't activate, 2 of which he regifted, which still makes him an asshole in my book, but he has been consistent until now with handing out keys.

Well, there's no nickname anywhere so how is this calling out?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well okay, I see your point. Didn't think of that. In fact, I thought not received giveaways aren't visible anymore because of recent threads and people saying they wouldn't be visible because they marked it as not received. I feel stupid now.

One week ago I've won a giveaway from a person that have given away 331 games, without missing a single one. He has been away from steamgifts for 3 days now and I still haven't received my gift. If I mark the giveaway as not received, will I be able to change it back when (if) he gives me the game?
