as we all know the won rule is that the won game should be activate on our own steam account. But it doesn't ask to keep it in our library.
Now whether we have active.the game is judged by our current library.
this makes me easy to be banned by the website for i may remove games on my steam.
As the rule really have this bug ,i have thought two way to deal with it.

  1. to revise the rules to activate the won game and keep it in your library
2.change the way to judge whether you have activate it in your own steam
(1). judge it until it appearred in the library, then never judge it again (still not allow to join in the same games)
(2). make a historic library date about the library, which combine new games and removed ones

This is not a bug though - this is exactly how the site is meant to work - as far as I understand it :)

Also, even if you delete the game from your steam - steam only hides it from your view - the licence is still attached to your account - meaning you never really got rid of it (found this out when I undeleted a game that I had deleted - you never really get rid of it :P )

A bug in the site's code or in a moral code? Hmmm...

It would be a problem for the support. Different users are checking if the winner has activated his previous wins before sending their gift and notify the support if there are rule infrictions. If SG users would be allowed to delete previously won games it would increase the false positive notifications.
Additionally, you would have to save the library status for every user each time there is a change in his library and as such create an unnecessary large amount of data. Deleting previously won games is an issue which should be nearly non-existant if users would just enter games they are interested in. Although even then there can still go something wrong as I have a win as well I would have preferred not having won after finding something out -_-

Still, just accept than you have some responsibility towards your wins and show some respect towards the games and giveaways.

This would make selling gifts / regifting as easy as buy on steam / sync account / refund within 2 weeks.

I think this needs a bump, because I suspect it's the real motivation.

I still feel for you, as I know where this is coming from: you failed a SGTools check because of having deleted games you've won here from your library.

Spamming the forum with multiple topics about the issue isn't helping at all and will most likely only serve to get people annoyed and land you on a few blacklists.

I believe this is a honest mistake: you have a good ration and a good level!

So the hate some people are throwing at you is not deserved either.

I appreciate that you have added some giveaways to this topic, it shows again that you mean well!

As others stated: this is not a bug!

Just consider it a learning lesson, the only thing you can do now (assuming you want to be able again to join SGTools protected giveaways) is buy the removed games again, so they are back in your library.
And never ever delete a game won here from your library again, just hide it (like others have said before)

afaik you dont need to rebuy. heard few times if you contact support that they reverse your deleting of a game.

Thanks, I never deleted a game, so I thought it was irreversible!

don't need to rebuy anything - you cannot get rid of games you purchase from steam - they are always there in the database, even if you delete them - I have undeleted a couple of games before now :) - I have pointed this out to the OP in their other threads, but not sure they really care about that fact - only the fact that they see this as a bug :P (this is not their first thread on this it appears)

Thanks, I never deleted a game myself, so I (apparantly) wrongly assumed it was irreversible!

I pointed out myself that opening multiple threads isn't exactly helping!
Neither does the wong assumption that this is a bug.
I have the feeling that part of the problem is that OP is not fluent in English.

I know she failed the SGTools test for my NOTaTrain and that this showed her that she has a problem.
I think she is just looking for a solution.

Hope she can sort it out with Steam support (or sort it out herself, if that is possible) and get the deleted games back in her library.

I still think she means well and that not being fluent in English complicates things tremendously!

No the problem is greed. to want to win every crap to farm cards without the need to keep the games in your library.

Shall we politely agree to disagree here?

I don't know OP personally, so how would I know if this is fueled by greed!?

At this time, there exist multiple solutions to this problem:

  1. Don't remove games from your Steam library.
  2. Don't enter a giveaway unless you are sure it is a game you want to keep.
  3. Ask for a permanent suspension so that you are no longer on SteamGifts and no longer have to worry about whether or not a won game shows up in your library.

heh... Not really being bitchy. I am just clarifying things. Life is full of problems, but we often overlook our own contributions to creating those problems.

Trashing someone else's gift is definitely not a good thing and does no good to the community. It shouldn't be allowed, ever.
