Maximum wishlisted games:
When I was little and Christmas was approaching, I'd get the JCPenny Christmas catalog and put check marks by every toy in the toy section that interested me. My parents could use it to decide what they might get for presents. I knew I'd never get more than 2-3 out of all of the things I picked, but it was damn fun fantasizing about having so many great toys I wouldn't know what to do with them all.
All I can say now is with 450+ "toys" in my library that started on my Steam wishlist -- most of which I will probably never play -- well, thank goodness they don't clutter up my apartment.

I'm on my way to 1000 but it still hurts to see that I won't be able to get all of them

I was about to click 500, then checked my own wishlist...
So yeah, 1000 is definitely too many!

IDK, really. I fully understand why some people place limits on their SGTools gates to prevent people from abusing the feature and getting entries for people who really want it, but at the same time I do think that given the sheer amount of games on Steam, it's normal for people to have hundreds of games in there.
I partly blame SteamGifts for making me use my wishlist way more liberally than I originally did. Call it a variant of FOMO if you will.

I saw some posts recently on SG where users were talking about their wishlists being out of control, as well as some users saying things like 'You probably don't even remember half the games on your wishlist, it's stupid to have that many'. I took a look and most of them had under 300 games on there. Maybe being around people on SG has skewed my perception on what an 'out of control' wishlist size is, but that didn't really seem like that many to me.
What do you all think is the most games a person should have on their wishlist?
When does it go from being meaningful to look at (as in you feel like buying these games would make that person happy) to meaningless (buying something from it would just be a drop in the bucket for that person and not really appreciated)?
And for those of you here just for gibs, here ya go.(ENDED)Comment has been collapsed.
