I can tell you this much. Stay away from Infestation: Survivor Stories and Nether. Nether is practically the same game as Infestation: Survivor Stories but they made it under a different company.

Also stay away from The Walking Dead Survivor Instinct.

what killed my interest in the game - was voicing, music and sound effects, which are utter crap.

I tried to play the game, the puzzles are okay, but the sound of the game is very cheap and makes the whole game look stupid.

^This. Shuggy is an excellent game, and absolutely nothing like SMB, other than being an indie game with platform elements...

What? How? It's a goddamn puzzle platformer. With puzzles.
I don't really like it myself, though, it's a bit too drawn out for my tastes.

Shuggy is nothing like Meatboy. Love shuggy.

Just like Super Meat Boy is a bad copy of the original Metroid, right?

But seriously, Shuggy is in the top 3 puzzle-platformers I have on Steam; I definitely recommend it.

It's Shuggy, and it's not even close to a SMB clone.

Shuggy is a great game! Especially for coop.

The game is pretty good... I got more than 200 hours on it in less than 3 weeks. Sadly, the company that runs it is shit and they dont really listen to their customers, and if you ever get a problem with your account, you wont get it solved

Alice is fantastic and underrated. So is The Void, Vampire The Masquerade (despite the bugs), and, well, the RIP Trilogy for those old-school of you.

Too bad that Alice is still at the D1 price here in Europe; yeah, I know that there are the traders, but this way it will remain underrated.

Alice was great.

I'll get it from GamersGate. You get the original game along with Madness Returns.

Reading the Steam Forum, the Origin account requirement is turning people off.

There really isn't much reason to not have an Origin account by this point. Even if you don't bother to buy games from Origin.

The Void is also currently in a Bundle Stars bundle (Bloodbath Bundle) for $2.48, while the Steam price is $1.99 for The Void alone. (Mind, you might not think the other games in the Bundle Stars bundle are worth the extra 49 cents.)

it should be a part of the sale, that game is a nightmare in a positive ripping your hear out and slaming your gamepad against the desk way.

It looks awesome, but at a 50% reduction I'm holding off buying in case it's on a daily deal between now and 2nd November.

Its already on midweek madness. Highly unlikely it gets a further discount on a daily within 3 days. Just jump on it.

Who knows? It wouldn't be the first time that trick has been pulled. Why the big rush?

Better safe than sorry :)

Well, if you are up for waiting... Steam should be having its Harvest/Thanksgiving Sale next month. Better odds of a steeper reduction then.

Dimmmkko, what is good in Unofficial Patch?
loved original game, but what features Unofficial Patch gives?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

fixing all existing bugs and glitches in the game, fixing stats balance, restoring abilities, lots of cut lines (dialogs), npcs, items, quests and even some locations. This unofficial patch has been in development for ages and still is supported by the community. Must have for a Bloodlines fan.

The All Zombies Must Die and Burn Zombie Burn (and the rest of the AZMD bundle) have control issues. They should be twinstick shooters (one is, the others aren't). Spend your trick or treat money elsewhere in the sale.

My favorite games on sale are The Walking Dead episodic game, Orcs Must Die 1 and/or 2, and Limbo. Beyond that I quite enjoyed The Darkness 2 and Sleeping Dogs

I don't see any Halloween-themed diamonds or rubies or sapphires, though. Is Steam hiding them like Steamgifts forumers hide giveaways?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I do, it was just a retort. But I don't really see the point either, because it's just people naming all the games on that page, you might as well look through it in the first place. While the bigger sales have literally unannounced discounts and weird pricing in the back of the database.

Super House Of Dead Ninjas is one few are talking about. 2D side view action game as you play a ninja descending a demon infested tower in what would have been a huge hit in the 16-bit home console days, with lots of replay and some really creative stages created by other players on SteamWorks.

The Penumbra Collection. For $2.50 you get ~17 hours of horror/puzzle action. Made by the creators of Amnesia The Dark Descent and made in the same style, Penumbra Overture, Black Plague, and Requiem have strong horror elements mixed with a compelling story and interesting and diverse puzzles. The collection was finished before Amnesia, so the graphics are a bit old, but it definitely does not harm the gameplay or the horror. If you like atmospheric horror games like Amnesia, this is an insta-buy. Hell, I liked the series better than Amnesia myself.

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas

There are some great games on sale, but more crap games in my opinion. I can recommend these for sure...

  • Super House of Dead Ninjas
  • Condemned: Criminal Origins
  • Fallout 3
  • Joe Danger Bundle
  • The Typing of the Dead: Overkill (Have not played this one, but if it's as good as the classic DC version)
  • Legacy of Kain Collection
  • The Swapper

A lot of people like Vampire: The Masquerade, I probably would too but not really into the whole Satanic vampire thing. Amnesia 1 and 2, They Bleed Pixels, Fallout: New Vegas, and Deadlight are good as well.

People have different tastes also, some people like mediocre and crappy games...some only like good ones... some like everything. So usually asking for opinions isn't a great idea, but that's my opinion on opinions.
