["Write something here"] (Delete this) (http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-2142-Deluxe-Instant-Access/dp/B00H2VOELQ)
Leave no spaces between ] and (

Will turn out to this: "Write something here"

How? Put what you wanna try in [ ] and your link in ( )

No spaces.

Your text between brackets; your link between parenthesis.

Example: [like this](http://www.steamgifts dot com)

Hahah, no. You have to do it exactly like I did, your message in [ ] and the link in ( ), with no space whatsoever. [like this](http://www.steamgifts dot com)

What you did is adding a space (enter) after your message, thats why it won't work. And also, by message I don't mean your whole sentence to be in the [ ], message is something to cover the link.

Here's another example. My message is "Google it duh" and my link is "https://www.google.com". So I should write it like this: [Google it duh](https://www.google dot com) << did it like this so you could see. The real link would be Google it duh

With gamespy finally shutting down I am still wondering what will happen with these old bf games in multiplayer, did EA say something about it? The deal is good btw.

Bought the game and downloaded it already. Even if I don't play it later, it's just $1. And if I do play it now, I think there would be some players playing for whatever left of the game, or at least just saying goodbye. Win win solution if you buy it now.

Oh and I read somewhere that some dev are interested in making a server for the game, after the Gamespy server shut down. I really just breeze through it tho, don't rely on this info very much.

The problem is not few players playing the game, it's that gamespy is shutting down so there will be no more server browsing. Not sure if we will still be able to connect via server's ip, because I think gamespy also managed cd-key validations and things like that. Here's the list of games affected: http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/22fz75/list_of_games_affected_by_gamespy_shutdown/

but it is an origin game...so i dont think EA prevent customer from playing it, right? if so it's weird

That's what I meant by "saying goodbye". I know the server will be shutting down.

but EA is selling it on Origin, they can move on their servers , no?

if they are willing to do that

I don't think it's as easy as moving the servers, and even if ea wont prevent customers from playing it, if gamespy managed the cd-keys verification, then we will probably need special servers to be able to "direct join" using ip.

Still can be a problem since it's an "Instant access" (account linking) game...

If your Amazon address and Origin address/region/IP won't match, it's probable that Origin will remove it from your account since they're notorious for doing so...

I'm not aware of Origin ever removing a game due to it being purchased in a different region. I'm in the UK and have purchased loads of US games for Origin through Amazon or Origin's own site via a proxy.

So, if you don't play multiplayer your game is still fine.

It's multiplayer only, no campaign in BF games until BF3.

Might pick it up for a buck. Pretty sure EA is going to move the game to their servers instead of letting it die.

I can't honestly see EA doing anything to move the servers out of GameSpy's grasp. They want people playing the latest Battlefield game (you know, the one that costs over a hundred bucks if you're interested in getting all the content), not a version that's been out for years and is no longer throwing appreciable profit their way.
