So they don't have generosity where you're from? o_O
Must be a really depressing place to live... -_-
Also, you did happen to notice the name of the site when you registered, right? o_O

I'm originally from New York as well and I can confirm 100% that there are, in fact, generous people there... >_>

There are A LOT of people in New York, hell, there are around 7 million in Manhattan alone... o_O
I'm still shocked that you're unfamiliar with the concept of generosity...

Native New Yorker here. Spread your anti-NY lies elsewhere.

0 anything. The one who receives the game gives 0 anything (anything tangible at least). The gift giver gets the satisfaction of giving something away. That's really the point of the site.

You know what would have told you something? The FAQ.

I don't know if they get anything back except for good morals of being a nice person. As for a poor student from a third world country, even though I didn't win anything yet, I'm appreciative of the fact that at least I can have a try at having something.
Feels good mang.

My first hundred or so games were gifts from people on the internet. Now I can pay back that good karma, so I do.

Only family? You clearly never spent time in the right forums. Here and certain GameFAQs boards worked for me.
BTW, accept my friend request. :P

I am pretty sure this is a dating site and the more we give, the more swipe rights we get.

But all of the previous discussions on the subject is not enough? or the FAQ?
well, people like to get answer from someone, not from reading "old" stuff.
Not complaining about you jim269, welcome to the site. if you want, donate, if not that's also fine...

I'm not sure completely how the levels work since I'm new, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with giveaways. I've given away two games in my 2(?) days here and it's just the goodest feelings making peoples happy. Or something... I don't know what I'm saying any more, sorry...

The world needs to be a nicer place and if people want to spread happiness and be generous then you should encourage more of it, not question it.

I do it because I know it makes people happy, and I like making people happy. That's why I give away a game every Sunday in my group. I give most winners something from their wishlist. If they're happy, I'm happy.

You need to make me a private giveaway. Just me and you. No one else needs the link. They all suck.

But there's no fun in that, Zombie <3 Besides, I owe you anyways. Once I get a job, expect something <3

Why even ask this question it is a simple answer.
Just because they can.
Not all people want something in return for giving,if that is how the world worked it would be a bigger shit hole then it already is.Giving is different for everyone.
I give back because i like to give and it makes me feel good, also i usually give away games i really do not want and someone else might want,it keeps my game collection from getting fill with useless junk as i do not collect virtual items

I guess what i'm trying to say is I don't get it. Why give things away if you paid for it? What does the user giving away the game get in return for giving it away?
