Seppuku is a samurai ritual of taking your own life (even if the beheading is done by a fellow samurai) once you were disgraced and lost your honor (some call it Harakiri). I don't remember that scene from The Last Samurai... but the blue kimono(?) of the guys on the back sure look like Hajime Sahito's clan(?).

PS2: HOLY SHIT! It is Hajime Saito's TROOP... because both the historical figure and the troop were real. Ok so it isn't one of the (great) Rurouni Kenshin movies, but the dudes on the back were Shinsengumi :3

Well last one wasn't too great... but the first 2 were pretty good for being live action anime adaptations! Specially the first one, sure we didn't get Oniwabanshu, but I did enjoy it a lot!

I agree with you on the first. The first was okay.
The remake, if i'm not mistaken, was made by Miike and I'm not interested in that. 1962 film is a masterpiece.

Welp, Takashi Miike has a big internet fanbase behind and he is not a bad director, yet... Recently started making remakes of classics and that's not my thing, specially when he goes back to his roots (ultravolence, lots of blood, high action rates).
The original is a classic and it's considered the "casablanca" of eastern cinema.
Miike also did the cinema adaptation of that 3DS game about lawyers

People think the sales are getting worse, but they seem to be around the same level for a while now. It just appears to get worse because people already own most of the stuff they're interested in from previous sales, so it appears as if there is less good stuff. Of course there are always games that don't get as big a discount as before though.
