Sniper Elite V2 giveaway - gift region free?

Hello,
Guys need some help, Planning to make giveaway for Sniper Elite V2. Will get it from are Russain guy. As i know some of the gifts are now not region free, is there any info, which games on steam are not region free. I am talking about gifts not KEYS!

Ridge Racer Unbounded, confrontation and The Witcher are region locked. But there is no any info on steam about that.

No you can't, if you are not from russia, you will not able to download it, will get error message about region restriction (google it)
P.s se v2 are not locked, so great news. !

  • I talked to Steam Support about this exact issue and they happily informed me that they will never inform their customers about any region-locking or other regional differences and that you shouldn't trade with people from other countries.

Wait. Does this mean if I were to go to Russia and buy said game there (like, for example few-weeks-vacation), then come back from there Steam/Valve would happily annouce "you should have stayed in Russia if you wanted to play, now quack you"?

But will I be able to play them in home, or will I receive "you're not in russia, quack you, we have your money so we don't care about you, and we decided you didn't need to know about region blocking before".

Not a problem on my end (from checking the steam store), not sure if the game will have an activation restriction though....
