Scribblenauts! I guess they're beating Steam's price by a dollar?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, I might just go with steams 10$ instead of getting 1 $ off for the fact I would have to wait till Thursday for the small discount where I could get it right now (actually tommorow).
EDIT - I have second thoughts.

Amazon gives me taxes, Steam doesn't.
But yeah Amazon is the better deal.

NY sales taxes, my friend in Florida doesn't get charged tax so I guess its state tax. I get no taxes on Steam though, its pretty nice.

I'm in NY as well. Years ago we lead the fight in the whole internet only businesses have to pay tax, as well. Now we pay the price for it. Thank god it doesn't extend to all businesses. I find myself using sites that don't charge tax a bit more often now. The no tax on Steam, like you said, is really nice. Newegg, as well. In NY or California, you are pretty much going to get screwed by taxes at, at least half the good American sites.

I refuse to use paypal if possible, I use amazon payments vs paypal. I find amazon conversion rate more fair
Something is wrong with paypal's conversion rate. Last time I used them(When I backed skullgirls), their conversion rate was 1CAD = 0.954usd... but in fact, it was 0.985usd.. that time. so I backed them with 65$, was charged 68.4$~ (conversion rate + stupid 1$ check + unknown tax %).

I don't disagree about the conversion rate. I had it out with them all the way back to when Ebay first bought them, over how they had higher conversion rates than the company that owned them. That never made sense. They should have had the same one. I would buy something off Ebay, get a price based on the current conversion rate, then pay a higher price a few seconds later. Paypal apologized to me and told me they had no control over it. Basically they will always be bad with it.
That wasn't what I meant, though. Paypal has a higher exchange rate, yes, but they probably wouldn't charge you twice and since they pick up on the currency being processed, they don't charge foreign transaction fees, like many credit cards would. I use Paypal, a Paypal debit card that has cash back, and my own card, depending on what I think will offer the best deal. More often than not, the Paypal stuff wins out. The currency conversion may be off, but that doesn't make it more expensive.
It doesn't work for every site, though. Some sites you will end up with what you ended up with. That is why I like to have a few options and to measure what my best approach would be.

Oddly I never get taxed on either of them.
If I were to buy from amazon (in second thoughts I might) I would buy a fortix copy with that extra dollar.

They sold Scribblenauts for $7.49 during the winter sale.

Just wondering, was Dark Souls that was recently on sale region restricted to NA too?

The Dead Island offer is US only :( Why do they do things like this for a download? I can understand when it comes to physical stock but a download...scratchhead. Surely unlocking this offer for the whole world would make them more money...
Comment has been collapsed.
All offers on Amazon.com are normally for US only.. it just so happens that they don't block people from buying as long as they use a US Address but you can actually buy the deals from them even though you're not supposed to. Don't go and complain that one of the deals is region-locked keys -.- Also Amazon is not the ones choosing to make the keys region-locked so it's not their call..

It's not Amazon's fault. I blame the greedy publisher :(
It's all about differences in currencies, so they do not want to lose because of that.

I'm not so sure if that's the reason, since AFAIK they didn't locked Russian version. There was quite a big commotion in US over letter "I" in title, because hanged man was said to be offensive (but beating people with hammers or stabbing with knives isn't)...
Comment has been collapsed.
I see, but still doesn't make any sense to be US only... Usually the "offensive" games are banned from a region or several "offensive" elements are changed/cut/whatever... (e.g. Germany)

I am..IM 2 CENTS AWAY FROM GETTING THE FREAKIN SCRIBBLENAUTS D:

All but the Dreamcast collection are steam. Might wanna put this up jatan.

Binary Domain is on sale now, $4.99.
Also Ultimate Dreamcast Pack is partially Steam for $14.99 (includes Dreamcast Collection which is non-Steam, plus Nights into Dreams, Sonic Generations, and Sonic Adventures 2)
Also, has anyone been following the CAG thread and know what happened to Kingdom of Amalur?

Thanks, updated OP.
Regarding Amalur: Tony has not been getting replies to his emails. I'm going to take a guess and say that Steam signed an exclusivity agreement with the guy - basically, it can't be sold anywhere else until Steam has determined that they have leeched enough money off of Tony's hard work.

FM 2013 50% off too.
Is Binary Domain region locked?

Hmm. The Amazon website seems to be down (or at least it's not letting me log in...)
Perhaps it's been swept away with the tsunami of traffic that was always going to come with a $10 deal on the Battlefield 3 Ultimate Shortcut Bundle.

How long does the Binary Domain deal last??
EDIT: FYI, $5 for Mirror's Edge (Origin, assumably).

I don't see it listed anywhere, but I probably wouldn't sit on it. At most, you might get a week out of it. Amazon seems to think the end of the month is like the 28th or something. I don't know why, but their sales always end on odd days.
This isn't tied to an end of the month sale, that I know of, so you might not even get that. They might just jack the price up randomly, even a few dollars.
I'd get it now, if you want it. Not worth the risk on a random sale. It is a great price.

Eh... I'll wait. Will probably buy it sometime before saturday (assuming the price doesn't return to normal).
I've seen quite a few sales of it in the last few weeks, so I can always wait for the next one.

If they run out of keys that's usually the deal over. Doesn't happen that often, but if it's a game you really want, it's best not to hang about :)

Disappointed in the discounts on the F1 games. Really want F1 2012 for under $10. Thats just me being cheap though :D

The discounts just arent very good. I think the lowest F1 2012 has been on Steam is ~$13
