Do you play the free games?
I started Axiom Verge from Epic. I got too busy with other games to go back and finish it. I don't have a twitch account. I don't really watch playthrougha as much.

Right now, I'm pretty overwhelmed with all of them, but I make it a point to play all of them eventually. I'm actually pretty grateful for some of the great free games I've gotten from Epic; some of them are games I would've bought, but turned out to be terrible, so all I wasted was a little of my time. Some of them were good, but I'm glad that they didn't cost me any money. Some were vague curiosities that turned out to be new favorites that I fully intend to buy from a DRM-free source, because I like owning the things that I buy. As for Twitch, I didn't even know that they had a launcher or a store.

about the "buy from a DRM-free source"
most of the (free) games on epic are DRM-Free

Can they be backed up and transferred to different machines/drives? I keep hearing people say that, but if you need the launcher to download and install them every time, then they aren't any more DRM-free than Steam games. I'm legitimately curious, as I have lousy Internet, but will need to migrate to a new, larger hard drive in the very near future.

once you download them you can find where they were installed and move them to a different drive, and they run without the launcher installed

Most can be run without the Epic launcher. Go to where the game is installed, run the appropiate EXE file (Horace, for example, is a BAT file). If the game doesn't opening itself the Epic launcher before loading, then it's DRM-free. I have about 37 games and most don't need the launcher except for installing and updating.

I intend to play at least a few of them, but I'm working on my backlog and I often forget about Twitch and Epic when figuring out what I should play next.

I would say the same but my Steam games will never end... lol

I didnt know about the Twitch stuff. :D
But i got Uplay, Origin, GoG, of course on Steam and also since some time Epic with Free Games.
I have so many Games, most in Steam, but most where not that free. But still, if i count all together, all Launcher, come to so almost 300 to 400 Games. ;-)
But playing is sadly impossible since some time, cause to bad and old PC. I would Love to play them all, but cant, so just collecting and collecting. Till someday if all solved and if have better Equipment, i can play them finally. ;-)

I did play "What Remains of Edith Finch" and it was pretty fun and not the longest game either. There are games that I own on Steam, but those I'd rather just play on Steam. I do tend to avoid joining a game giveaway here if I got the game free somewhere other than Steam since it's better the game go to someone who actually doesn't own the game at all
I am willing to play some other games that I got for free too, but this has less to do with the quality or lack of quality of the free games they have an given, and more to do with time. I also have games from Steam, Uplay, Origin, GOG..., paid and got for free, that I want to play.
Haven't gotten the Twitch free games though, since I don't have Amazon Prime.

I played subnautica on epic games that I got free and it was great. Planning to play/stream other free Epic's games too, but haven't got around to doing it.

I played INSIDE on Epic! I think I liked it, but that ending was very odd.

I have alot of games I need to play and I own most of the Epic games we get for free so no.

Nope. I claim the free games I want from Epic as a backup for my steam library, but thus far have not installed one megabyte, even if some of the games were wishlisted. I'd rather wait and get the games again on Steam. I like tracking achievements and stats, and using third party sites, and thus far only Steam lets me do this.

Yo,
I just opened my Twitch-Launcher and... damn, I got atleast 150, most indie, games and I've never touched one of them.
So I checked my Epic-Launcher... and there I have like 20, pretty good looking, games.
That's why I wonder, did any of you ever started one of these games?
Have a good day.
