Does anyone like : Whittaker's Dark Peppermint Mini Slabs ?
Happy New Year and good health to you and your family, brother! :3
Never tried those but I do like Belgian chocolate a lot. ^^

Thank you! We have all kinds of chocolates here but I also like dark chocolates. We call those pure chocolates or fondant chocolates here. :D

I know out of experiences that they are great for making cakes.
I like milk chocolates too but I find white chocolates too sweet for my taste.

You already talked about them but I also like the dark chocolates\pralines with a little alcohol like whiskey, cognac, Armagnac, Grand Marnier, etc in them because they warm you up and the liquor and dark chocolates enhance each other. ^^

I expressed myself wrong, sorry. I meant a little alcohol of different kinds in the dark chocolates\pralines themselves. :D

One thing i suddenly remembered is my sister used to take these plain marie biscuits, put a marshmallow in the center and and microwave for about 5-7 seconds, add unsweetened dark chocolate shaving and top up with another plain marie biscuit..chocolate marshmallow sandwich so to say! :S

Best dark chocolate I ever had was a Lindt bar filled with cherry and chili.
Next was that dark chocolate bar filled with bacon pieces in it. DAMN that was good.
But you haven't tried dark chocolate until you have had a 100% caoco one. WOW!

They used to make the cherry and chili bar, but I haven't seen it in a while.
But the thing from them I miss the most are the cinnamon coriander truffle balls they used to make.
I like odd combinations.

I've had peppermint and dark chocolate before. But they don't sell Whittakers by me. Whitmans, yes.

I like it. I love Peppermint Patties, though.
Want to try something interesting I just remembered? Chocolate blueberry, I do that in my Dunkin Donuts iced coffee all the time. Mocha (chocolate) and blueberry.

No problem. Always nice to see a fellow chocoholic with similar tastes. Try that chocolate bacon bar too. It's erotic pleasure in a bar.

Ah, I see and I respect that. Sorry if I sounded pushy. I didn't know.

I've not eaten Whittaker's for a while now, but they used to be the best I could get. ^^
Admittedly I've not tried the peppermint ones...
Should ask my parents to ship me some for my birthday. :3

The Peanut ones and the Almond ones were my favourites, in the "3x slab" packs.
Looking at their site, there's so many new flavours! Even an L+P one. D:
makes long list for April

I hate mint in anything that's not toothpaste. Or chewing gum. Keep it out of my food and drink.
If it ruined my chocolate I'd just hate it even more.

I like Dark Chocolate, but Whittaker's Dark Peppermint Mini has to be the weirdest chocolate I have ever had.
Not because of the bitterness or the mint. But it was plain bad. :(
Now is it the particular bar i ate was bad or there are more people with such experiences with this?
Representative image/link only for showing the type i ate not where i got them from :
