what's up with Dota2 ?

It looks like people are throwing them at your head... but why?
I looked it up in the steamstore and it told me I already own it.

Is it f2p? Then why are people able to create giveaways about it?
You can't create a giveaway for tf2 either right?

You can no longer create giveaways for Dota 2. The ones you see open were created a few weeks ago. It is currently in beta, and will be F2P upon release. There are lots of ways to get keys for the game, if you're interested in playing it.

The oe you own is spectator mode. If you want a key for full game I think that they were being given away in alienwarearena.
